Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
Yeah.
--
Thinking my guitar issues are due to interference from my router near the PS4. I unplugged it and just played about ten songs. Played on hard (it's my usual and knowing I can hit most if not all the notes helps limit error for testing) and didn't have one drop and any missed note was something I know I missed or over-strummed on. Played "Somebody Told Me" and "Edge of Seventeen" specifically for their steady note lines and had a good time. I want to say there seemed to be slightly less of a delay when starting freestyle solos, but that may be placebo.
Weird (but not) that it seems to have effected this. It also interfered with the dongle for my RB2 drumset, but has never once effected the RB1 Strat despite them being in the same location.
I'm hoping this actually is my issue, because then I'll know how to avoid it.Comment

Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
My router is 2 floors up from where my PS4 is so I don't think that is my issue. I did calibration again and it seems to better than last night, but there are still dropped notes where there shouldn't be.

Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
I was able to play some more today with my router on and off and it definitely seems to be my issue. I was looking around different forums and hadn't seen any widespread reports so I figured it might be something specific to my setup. I really don't know **** about what interferes with what, so I don't know what to say. Anything else that might be interfering with your connection?
For PS3/4 people, it appears if you load up RB Blitz on PS3 it'll prompt you to download the Blitz soundtrack again. If you click thru it (don't have to actually download) the songs will appear under your Add-Ons (main menu>RB tile>down to Related Items>My Add Ons) for RB4.Comment

Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
Playing on Xbox one and my screen is going extremely dark a couple minutes into each song. Essentially unplayable. Any ideas ?
Edit: think it's because I left the controller on. Kind of dumb. Hopefully they fix it.Last edited by ricky24; 10-07-2015, 04:48 PM.Comment

Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
So Best Buy has the guitar/Xbox 1 bundle available but not the game/adapter.
Since some of you now have the guitar, is it worth buying if you already have two old guitars that (presumably) work?
Since I'm BB GCU I can get the guitar/game bundle for $103 but I'd still need the adapter which I have on order from Amazon for $24 but I'm wondering if I should just wait and get the game by itself for $48....just need to know if there is any reason at all to get the guitar bundle?Last edited by ODogg; 10-08-2015, 07:25 AM.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
I have never owned an X-Box 360 or One which is why I am asking this question. Why do you need an adapter for the game for that system?
In terms of older peripherals, I have noticed that when you plug them in they do work, however it won't log you in the game under your PSN name. Instead it says Guest. Not sure how that affects leaderboard scores and trophies or not.Comment

Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
From rock bands website
"With Xbox One, Microsoft updated the wireless connectivity security protocol that exists between wireless controllers and the receiver on the console. Because of this, wireless Xbox 360 controllers and accessories aren’t natively compatible with the Xbox One. In order to support the vast amount of cool Xbox 360 wireless Rock Band controllers already out there, Mad Catz and Harmonix worked together to design Legacy Game Controller Adapter for Xbox One that enables backwards compatibility for most legacy wireless Rock Band controllers."Comment

I need an adapter but honestly this new guitar seems so much better than the old ones I have. I would rather just buy another new guitar but that is not even possible right now. Kind of silly honestly. The only way you could play this game with a full band of new instruments is buying the band in a box version and another guitar bundle. That would give you an extra copy of the game though. Makes no sense.Comment

Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
I was all GH guitars last gen because I hated the strummer on the big fret buttons on the RB1 guitar. I have no complaints with the new RB4 guitar. Strummer is perfect and the fret buttons are not so clunky anymore. Guitar looks a lot better than GH ones too IMO if that's important to you. Works really good, love that it is bluetooth although for Xboxers that's not an option I guess.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Really stinks that we can't save video clips of this game.

Looks like the store is still acting up. Still have some songs I need to download that won't let me. Deftones pack is one of them.
