Why does it have to be a new copy then? Can they keep track of each individual disc only getting one export? I might just buy it digital if I do it. Seems to be the cheapest way other than used.

Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
Wow 15 that kind of fells like a lot. If I am not mistaking when rock band 2 came out it was like 10 for rock band 1 songs and from rock band 2 to 3 I think was 10 for rock band 2 songs + rock band 2 sound list was not really that good. So we don't know yet when we are going to get rock band 2 and 1 songs? I don't have the game yet may get it around black Friday.
There is currently no timeframe on RB1 or 2. They mention in the questions under the chart that there currently isn't a way for the PS and Xbox stores to display content that isn't also publicly available for purchase. That's the hold up. They also say that they have a solution for that, so we'll see.

Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
I think it's a pretty good deal. As mentioned, previous exports were $5, then $10. RB3's setlist is the biggest of all 3 and EVERY song exports this time. I'm STILL salty about losing "Anyway Your Want You Want It" from the RB2 export.
sounds like you might need to start it up and play the game at least once too.Comment

Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)
$15 isn't bad. RB1 was $5, RB2 and LEGO were $10. Are there 8 songs from RB3 you'd want to carry over? That would be $16 if they were DLC. $15 gets you 83 songs.

Not in the near future. They always do the "never say never" thing, but they've shown no real indication to relicense disc songs as individual DLC.
Same as exporting from all previous RB and GH games that allowed it. The initial $60 purchase price doesn't include the price of going back and renegotiating for the songs to be exported later.
Tweet from Harmonix CEO last week says it doesn't matter. Not sure why blog post uses 'new' though. I'd take CEO's word, especially since he hasn't retracted it as of now.
Fixed my typo I meant to say that I think rock band 3 song list was not that good rock band 2 song list was great. Yeah I think there are 8 songs but really I think the whole transferring songs should be free really and this is 5 more then in the past. You said something about being publicly available so are you saying that rock band 1 and 2 don't have there exports any more? While I hope they get all the games export soon because really rock band 1 and 3 have weak set list. Rock band 2 is really the only game with a lot of good songs but when you take all the songs from the 3 games then you do have a lot of good songs. Even rock band 4 list looks weak to me.Comment
