I've said this before but there will never be a remaster of CoD4 or MW2. Many people that currently love CoD never played those games and it'll kill the new games if people are exposed to the great ones again.

My expectations for CoD could not be any lower at this point but I'll hold out a little bit of hope that this will be the one that brings the series back from the dead.

I still don't see how MW2 was even remotely popular as broken that game was.

Hell the devs got tired of having to fix it with patches and totally abandoned it.

The explosives 100 mile kill radius, care package glitching, nuke farming, one man army, javalin glitching, model shotguns snipers totally destroyed that game for me. Also the M16 was rediculous.

I rather have Cod4 MW since that was more about gun play and less about OP killstreaks. Also imo it was balanced well.

Sinister pretty much answered everything in regards to what you have stated. Just like he said even with some of the flaws. The game was just so much fun to play. You also in time learn how to deal with a game flaws, and they never really become a nuisance anymore.

One thing I hope for is if they did remake MW2 that they will correct some of the concerns. LIke make one man army a one time switch of gear during that life. Instead of it being infinite.

I'm surprised Activision hasn't tasked one of their studio's to do a remastering of the Modern Warfare Trilogy. All these game franchises are seemingly getting remasters and arguably one of the most successful franchises of all time in Call of Duty hasn't gotten one yet.

Maybe they know that the older games are so great that if you remaster them no one will buy the new ones lol.

Thats exactly it Sinister. There is absolutely no question that if they remastered MW1, 2,and 3 that it will destroy the sales of the new title that was released.

The only way I can see it is if the sales going forward continue to decline with the new titles. Then I can see them saying "Its times to bring the classics back to get revenue back up".

Man I can only wish they dont think like this and remake them

Pretty interesting considering EVERYONE knows that Cod's popularity has been going down. Throwing a beta out there for a $5 pre-order must mean they believe in their product. I'll probably pay $5 for the beta to see if I want to buy

I simply don't play these games for the MP anymore. Its actually an after thought to me. The campaigns have been engaging and fun and they all have great co-op modes, whether it be extinction, exo-zombies, or the famed Black Ops zombie story there's more to these games than TMD, Domination, etc etc

Advanced warfare should have been my first cod I'd skipped but I decided to give it a chance. Didn't like it at all so Blk Ops 3 I'll definately be skipping this time. Hate the futuristic setting does nothing for me. If they decide to go back to WWII, Vietnam, or modern warfare then I'll give it a look.
