Re: Is Morrowind a good game?
Yep even when the main story is done you stay in the world and can do guild missions and anything else etc.
The fighting is good.
It's the best rpg for a long time, maybe ever. Certainly one of my favourite and most played games.Comment

Re: Is Morrowind a good game?
i could never get the hang of the controls for combat, personally...you might want to rent it and see for yourself. I had too many other games to play, so this just got pushed aside, maybe if I'd given it more time I would have figured it outNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Is Morrowind a good game?
It's definately a love it or hate it game. I personally think its great. If you need constant action, hyper-kinetic gameplay, and loud, flasy effects you probably won't like it. To fully enjoy the game you need a good 150 hours to spare and you can't have ADHD.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

yeah, it's a great RPG, and i loved the story elements...I was just getting killed by things I shouldn't because the controls were too clunky for me. I don't need hyper action, just sucks when you keep swinging at a damn rat or whatever, but you miss constantly, and there's no way to really get better.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Is Morrowind a good game?
combat would be the weakest part of the game, but i still enjoy this game and continue to explore and play through it. I agree with the "love it or hate it" stance though. I love the fact i have to freedom to go wherever i want and find hidden locations and treasure without the need to finish the main storyline.
for 20 bucks, its definitely a steal. And if you dont like it, well it was just 20 bucks. Go for the GOTY edition if you do plan to pick it up.Last edited by Bacardi151; 08-29-2004, 11:11 AM.Comment

Re: Is Morrowind a good game?
Well, after some advice I've picked up the Morrowind: Game of the Year edition.
Just started playing it today and after telling myself I'd only play for an hour, I played for three.
Haven't really gotten involved too much, but did start heading toward Bel-something or whatever the place is called (still very new with the game and names, obviously). I stopped at a town on the way to the town discussed and enjoyed my stay there, as well.
I gotta say, it's almost scary walking alone through the roads and such. I haven't even gone inside a cave or any forests or anything like that. I'm afraid just getting into the water or going anywhere away from people (yet, games like Silent Hill don't scare me...)
Quick question...how do you swim in the game? Can you? I jump in and I see my air supply going down and no matter what button I press nothing changes."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
