I know you already realize this. Trust me, I wanted this to be like Morrowind too. But, I also enjoy Legend of Zelda, and in my opinion, this looks like a Legend Of Zelda type game. It isn't the game I originally thought it would be, but it's still looking like a great game.
Oh it still looks great but I had to come to a realization that this was'nt gonna be Morrowind. So all comparisons are ceased to me. But I do enjoy westren RPGs so I know I'll dig Fable. Its just that I dont think I'll be playing this game around this time next year like Morrowind. Thats all.

Hey Graphik, does Morrowind have a good story line to it? Or is the story like secondary to your freedom to roam.

Morrowind intimidates me, I don't think I would have the time to put into it.

yeah, that, along with the touchy attacking control just didn't let me get sucked in by the game...it was fun what I played, but sometimes they just don't hook you like they hook others

Hey Graphik, does Morrowind have a good story line to it? Or is the story like secondary to your freedom to roam.

Well IMO, its a good story. Its just not told through cutscenes. You get most of the story from talking to NPCs or actually reading the hundreds of books throughout the world. It all depends on how immersed in the game you are. I can see ppl being completely turned off by having to read numerous multipaged books just to learn about the world.

For the most part, the world in Morrowind really feels like a real world. You have books that teach you about the land, certain cities, your race, other races, fictional stories that give you attribute points and you will find books based on the prophecy that you must fufill. I aint gonna lie, I dont read every single one of those books. Like I said, it all depends on how much you wanna be immersed into the world.

But the story is told for the most part by NPCs. When you begin the game, you know nothing. At the beggining, somebody will tell you to go to a town and visit your main quest giver and this is where some ppl might not get into the game. Because the story does'nt really start up until you visit him and it could possibly take you hours and hours before you even get to the town. And its not the travel that takes so long. You'll start talking to NPCs in the town you started in and they'll give you side quest to do and before you know it, hours will pass before you even decide to go on that journey to the town. Because if you want, you can immediately take a easy form of transportation to get to the town where your main quest giver is. But what fun would that be if you dont really explore the land. So before you even know what the hell you are doing and what the main story is, you can spend hours just exploring the land doing the side quest that the NPCs give you. I think it took me about 2-3 hours of game time before I decided to go to that town and start the main quest.

Most ppl get turned off again by the game because when you talk to an NPC, you can literally spend 5 minutes just talking to him and asking him questions. I see alot of complaints from ppl who say they have no idea where to go at the beggining. And I think its because these ppl did'nt spend time chatting with the NPCs. He tells you what town to go to BUT he does'nt tell you how to get there and so you must talk to NPCs to get more info. Plus you start off flat broke and you should'nt travel without making some money first. Its a bit confusing and overwheleming at the beggining and if you decide to take the time to learn a few things before getting started, you will be rewarded when you finnally go to the next town and next thing you know, you'll be fully equipped and you'll have a bunch of quest and side quest to do and the game will completely pick up steam.

Once you get ot that town and visit the main quest giver, then you'll basically be introduced to the story and why you are there. Its a turn off for many because you will literally spend hours playing the game before you even know what the story is. But after that, everything opens up and you're off into the forest doing your fedex missions.

Thanks, man. All I can say is...Wow!!! I can see why a lot of people don't like the game. You would have to really be into rpg's, very patient, or both. Is there a main bad guy you have to defeat to win the game?
