Cleared out white chapel except for the gang war.
I then wandered around for about 30 minutes stealth murdering. It shouldn't be this funny to calmly walk up to a redcoat who starts suspecting you just briefly until you sneakily jab him in the jugular and cold bloodedly stroll on.
It's almost like some perverse monty python sketch.
Almost level 3 where more good gear is.
I have the skill points to level up, just debating where to place them.
It's also incredibly entertaining to be intensely battling someone then have one of your recruits walk up and blast him in the face with a pistol.
It's so ludicrous but great that you are just as much of a murdering psychopath as the scum you are vanquishing from the streets.resident curmudgeonComment

First time in a AC game that I have given 5 * ratings at the end of a sequence. Game is pretty damn good

Really fun time with this game. I'm a AC lifer, and it just feels more like the earlier editions of the game. I'm all about the story and the city with these, and they hit on both. London looks terrific.
About 3.5 hours in and have just started conquering my second area. I'll tell ya, don't mess with the cops in a street fight, they can take SO much damage early.

One other thing!
Even though you cant run more than one save you can go back and replay any mission.
Just pause and go into the progress tracker and select any event you have played already.resident curmudgeonComment

I'm thinking about getting this game tomorrow but I am wondering if paying $65 is worth it? With what happened during Unity launch last year, I'm always skeptic about another AC game.San Francisco Giants

You could always do this, amazon has unity for 18 bucks.
5 patches have mostly fixed the game. You could get it and then get syndicate later.
I of course got syndicate first, but based off how much fun I am having with it I bought unity just a few minutes ago, to play after I finish syndicate, heck or maybe concurrently.
Everything I read about unity pointed to it being well worth 18 dollars.resident curmudgeonComment

I'm not a huge AC fan, but I really am enjoying this game. I picked this up today after watching a few streams last night.
I'm in sequence three and the story, environment and characters are all really interesting. Switching between the twins is a fun dynamic that lets you mix up how you play. It's fun.

AC Rogue > Black Flag > Unity
Only played through three missions of Syndicate but thus far, it's better than Unity on the tech side. While im expecting Syndicate to surpass Unity for me, I don't think that it will surpass Rogue but I do think that it can match Black Flag. Obviously, I have a long way to go before knowing for sure but thus far, im enjoying the game more than Unity.Comment

As crazy as it might sound, I've a fan of the AC series, but I've never played any of the games. Instead of playing any of the games, I would just watch some of my fav YouTube/Twitch gamers play through the stories. With that being said, AC: Unity is going to be my 1st time playing an AC game. Just got it off Amazon for $12 with Amazon Prime. Plan on picking up Syndicate once the price drops, which they seem to do quickly on Amazon.Thee I Love

Got the rope launcher in syndicate.
It is in all ways a game changer.
Why?
Well because now you can get yourself way in over your head because you have this safety blanket of quick evac.
But it is not all roses. Because when you get in over your head the AI gets more persistent about tracking you, plus higher AI has more weaponry. I kicked off some kidnap mission and it was like I punched a hornets nest. I took out two enemies quickly with stealth kills then zipped away to survey and noticed the tougher AI is sat in more difficult environment situations. The terrain was tougher to drop in and fly out of too. As soon as I tackled the target all hell would break loose. I just gave up after my fifth attempt because another thing happens...
On the side missions if you fail but dont desync, meaning just retreat to heal up, the world persists. So on the street, where I needed to bring up the kidnap target, the carriages and police started to stack up. My first attempt I got him up to almost in a carriage but a cop started shooting me so I hopped in a carriage and caused a traffic jam. Over my next 4 tries people and carriages kept filtering into the street causing mayhem. I had to give up mostly to reset the environment.resident curmudgeonComment
