All the crafting you have to do in this game is a royal pain. And to top it off, all the schematics you have to find is a bigger royal pain. I so hate it when it says this have to be crafted, then you try to craft it and it says you have to find the schematic 1st. Why even list it as craft-able if I need the schematics 1st ?

At least the lock picking is automatic now, no more BS mini game you have to play. Sad thing is though, very few things in the game requires are locked to begin with that requires lock picking skills. I really miss having a TRUE assassin's hide out like they use to have in the earlier games. Made you feel special to be a TRUE hide out surrounded by your fellow assassins and seeing assassins stuff all over the hide out.

Game is getting too modern and losing it's mystique. I am also ticked off that you can't dual wield weapons but the enemy gang members can ? Really Ubisoft ? An Assassin can't dual wield but a low level thug can ?

I love the crafting elements and it's easy. I have about two thirds of those rare gems and schematics. I only need one pouch to 100% that category and if it wasn't for the lack of money, I would be closer to 100% with everything else than I am now which I think is 30% or so if I remember correctly.

We're the opposite in regards to crafting and lock picking as I prefer the lock picking to be what it was in Unity. I actually enjoyed the lock picking mini-game. Without it in Syndicate, there's no point in having locked chests or doors since it's automatic. Wish it was the same as in Unity.

First AC was Black Flag which didn't really have a hideout as it was more of a area that you owned so to speak. I remember having a house in AC 2 but my memories of that game are foggy since I quit halfway through and just wasn't enjoying it at all especially after Black Flag.

We finally agree on something - dual wielding swords. I loved that in Black Flag and hope they bring it back next year which is likely since the team that's working on next year's game worked on Black Flag. However, Evie's hand to hand combat and using the cane is brutal. Some of the stuff I have done to enemies makes me think im playing Mad Max. LOL.

Overall, im enjoying the game more than Unity and still have 40% to go for total sync. Definitely in the mid-8 to 9 range for me. Just have to see how the game ends.

Finally beat the game. The final boss battle is the same format like it has always been ever since the 1st Assassin's Creed game. Ubisoft really need to change it up. The ending however was pretty good, highly predictable but good. I'm really curious about the next game and it looks like the next game will be the last game in the series. In the ending you get to see somebody you haven't seen since Assassin's Creed 3.

Was gonna sit this one out, but with 20 bucks in rewards certificates and GCU made the game 28 bucks and went ahead and pulled the trigger. After the dumpster fire of Unity, I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised with how good Syndicate is. Love liberating territory like you had to in Brotherhood, Revelations, III and New York City in Rogue.

Every time I go to the train hideout I'm told Jacob has a letter waiting for him. I cannot for the life of me figure out where that letter is or how to access it.

Help?

As far as I know, it has to do with being able to access sequence 8 but don't bother. Go in order as best as possible.

Yes, once you can go to Sequence 8 (which is after you conquer 3 areas I think), that happens until you actually go to it. Really annoying. I kept looking for the letter.

Wasn't happy with the last couple AC's but looks like Syndicate is a step up. I have enough points at BB to grab it while it's on sale.. just need to decide lol
