Re: Ratchet & Clank
I want this game now.
Love the Ratchet and Clank series.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Ratchet & Clank
I went ahead and pre-ordered this. I figured for ~$36 why not?
Plus I've been wanting to jump into this series and wasn't sure where to start.

Re: Ratchet & Clank
Less than two weeks away and I'm pumped. I picked up the HD Collection and have been going through the first one this week. The gameplay is pretty good so far. It has that nostalgic simplicity a lot of platformers had. What I think I'm most impressed with, however, is the writing. The story is fairly straight forward and the villains are, for now, cardboard archetypes, Ratchet and Clank are both developed really well. I'm in the middle of a little spat with them and there's a clear sense of logic and motivation for each which is something even some TV shows have problems with.
That was something I didn't really expect, but it made me respect the game even more. It also has me really excited for a more fleshed out narrative in the new game.

Re: Ratchet & Clank
So something I was just thinking about is that this game comes out about 2 and a half weeks before the movie. So should the game be not played in till you have seen the movie? If you play the game before the movie comes out is it going to spoiler things for you?Comment

Gameplay looks great. Most likely a buy for me this summer when new releases start to slow up a bit.
Those interested in seeing how Ratchet and Clank 1st meet and are not going to see the film?

Re: Ratchet & Clank
The movie is based on the game, which is a complete remaster from the original Ratchet and Clank on PS2.
IMO watching the movie would ruin the game, not the other way around... But that's just me being a snob about the actual origins of the franchise.
Play the game. Then, go watch the movie to see how what you accomplished plays out on the big screen.Comment
