This is sounding less and less than a Ghost Recon game with every new piece of info released.

I didn't even notice that. Thought it was how they were playing as opposed to the game itself. There's cover where you can crouch down behind objects (think Quantum Break) but you can't lean up against walls, etc. like in The Division. Not happy about this. Hope they implement this. Can't be that hard to do. Damn Ubisoft, they copy so much from each other but don't copy what should be copied. UGH. SMH.

Ghost Recon without cover is just a more realistic Just Cause.

          Re: Ghost Recon Wildlands

It went from day 1 to wait and see for me. The graphics inside buildings and during battles were very poor and knowing Ubi they will only get worse. The environments looked amazing though.

The Division has hurt me wanting to buy another Ubi game at launch. This one did itself no favors as it reminded me more of a GTA type game than Ghost Recon or Division. I can do basically everything that was done in that trailer in a GTA Heist already. So not sure what crowd they are even going for, not sure if they know what crowd they are even going for. Either way, I don't see it making that March release date, way too many complaints about it from the show and issues with it, it'll get delayed even though it releases in 9 months.

I wouldn't be surprised if they even change up some of the mechanics because that was not Ghost Recon, not even close.

Yea great questions, I'm not sure if they could code in something like the cover system in the Division into this game. The release date is so far away that I wanna think that it's doable.

But like your question, perhaps the game we watched during the presentation was as intended.

I will be purchasing this game either way so we'll see. But I swear if these Ubi bums dupe me one more damn time...

They already robbed (suckered) me of one hundy with the Division digital gold.

Nope. Devs said they might put it in..but it aint because they don't want camping in multiplayer

Yep.. unless I'm reading this whole conversation wrong, no cover system may be a deal breaker for me unless the gameplay is just that fun.

I'll try not to over react after being really positive with the first looks at the game, but damn..

I know I sound like a broken record, but I will still be buying this game.

But I'm going disc for sure and if within the first day of playing I'm not feeling it then I'm returning it / trading it in ASAP.

Like Bolt said, I'm worried I'm gonna sound like a broken record.

Before E3 this was toward the top of my hype list but it definitely took a big hit, just for me, after what I saw.

That being said, seeing a game and playing a game are obviously completely different and I look forward to trying it myself.

                            Agreed.
I wish there was a cover-system, but I'm still excited for this game.
In the few clips I've watched, it looks like Rainbow 6 meets Hitman - that's a marriage I can endorse.

Wildlands just doesnt seem Ghost Recon to me. If it was called another name I dont think I be as critical of it.

Agree 100%. It does look like a fun game and at the end of the day its a co-op military shooter that at least from first blush is not fast twitch like COD, which is an auto buy for me. I was just looking forward to a Ghost Recon, which like 23 pointed out earlier really isnt a realistic expectation from a game anymore. But if it wasn't called Ghost Recon I wouldn't have had expectations going into it.

But if it really isn't possible then I wish they hadn't called it Ghost Recon. Although I should not have expected anything different given that in my mind the started bastardizing what I think of as something with the Tom Clancy name with HAWX and have only continued to stray further from that since.
