I love the dynamic HUD. Makes for a very clean screen until something changes you need to know about and how you can lightly touch the touch pad and it brings up all of it for a few seconds.

Does anything stay on the screen when using dynamic hud? I'm not sure I would like not being able to see my health bar and weapon bar.

I also read there is an option to make it easier to focus on your current objective.

I've probably spent more time in photo mode just setting up nice pictures, which says a lot because I really enjoy the gameplay too. I'm just in awe of how gorgeous this game is.

The default dynamic setting just leaves the compasses at the top of the screen. You can do a custom setup though where you can torn that off as well as toggle on health and some other option.

I think there's an option that enables waypoint icons to guide you to objectives. I read the path finding on that option is pretty bad though.

How long is the "set-up" for this? Just curious how long it takes before you're given the reigns and cut loose on your own.

About an hour before you begin to explore the world on your own.

Took me more like 3-4 hours to be released into the wild.

Anyways, enjoying this game alot so far. Got to level 10 last night.

Yeah, but I was speaking to when the game stops holding your hand. Took about an hour before any real exploring or missions became available.

You'll want a solid 2 hours to play if that is what you're asking. I started at midnight Monday and went to bed at 2am in a good stopping point. Then I was tired all day Tuesday.

I was never into the hype for this game but since everyone seems to like it, I went ahead and bought it and now I'm downloading it from the PSN. I hope it turns out to be fun for me.

I also didn't even have this game on my radar. About a week ago I saw it and went "wow." I don't have the money to purchase it right now but I definitely plan to the first chance I get. It's definitely one of the few games that have actually popped up on me the way it did.

                              Horizon: Zero Dawn

So I am a little over an hour in. I have not had a chance to get in a meaty play session (which for me is a 3-4 hour run).

But the little I have done has been pretty amazing. I have not even scratched the surface. Just a level 3 but I am exploring and getting familiar with hunting and crafting and have a side mission already to do.

                              Game is special. Really special.

I will easily pour 55-65 hours into this one. It is Far Cryish but with a clear polish above Far Cry in terms of details, lore, storytelling etc. Just a marvel both visually and control wise silky smooth and easy to play.

Used my first three skill points on the far left skill tree (stealth).
