    Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn

I must say the sound in this game is top notch. From the awesome tense build up of the music in certain scenes, to the sound effects of the machines.

There's nothing like "feeling" a tallneck come by for the first time. You can actually see things shake when close like the water cup in Jurassic Park!

The one thing I don't like about this game is that it doesn't allow you to use Spotify, something Nioh does as well.

Yeah I usually always have Spotify running when I'm playing a single player game. That's a bummer

          Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn

Had a good bit of time with the game and it is AMAZING... the exploration, the leveling and the order of choice exploring this world is simply incredible. I am a level 8 and just tried my hand at a level 15 sawtooth... that didn't go as planned lol. I am going to level up some more, find a power core and visit that beast again...

I have a question. How do u highlight the animals to permanently show the weaknesses etc? It shows the weakness initially and it fades away. In the heat of battle I forget the soft spots lol. Thank u for any replies.

Absolutely loving the game. Just the right blend of fun and difficulty for me.

I love all of the collectibles and leveling up and what not, but I just wish I knew a little bit more about what to keep vs. what to sell.

You guys are killing me with the photo's on the Pro though, as if I needed another excuse to make the leap.

I tend to keep one of everything in case it's needed for a trade, and sell the extras. Unless it's just meant to be sold, obviously. I stop to collect everything on foot so I'll sell stacks of herbs and whatnot if I have multiple stacks

This game has been brilliant. My PS4 Pro arrives tomorrow so will finally get to play on that, even though it's on a 1080p, I've read there are definitely improvements. That'll tide me over till I get a 4K sometime soon.

Almost forgot, anyone run into "Sneakers" yet, I think that's what they are called??

Man you get a pack of 2-4 of those and you are in for a REAL fight. I'm a tripcaster maniac though so it does seem to help. Nothing better than having all these machines just storming at you as you frantically try to get off the tripcast of your choosing.

Is the ropecaster useful? I'm just past arriving in Meridian and doing one of the story archs, that really seems to set in motion where the game will go.. LVL 22, and climbing. Going to go back to where I've been on the map tonight and tidy up some of the quests I missed out on.

Not sure if I've hit a Cauldron yet either, is that one of the blue icon indicators?

This is a solid game, but it's just not for me. I feel like I've already played this game, only now it has a new coat of paint on it. It's a hybrid of a few games I have already played and grew sick of. There's nothing wrong with that at all because it implements those elements really well, but it's not, in my opinion, the type of game I want to play again right now. The graphics and atmosphere are great, but the gameplay is stale and rehashed, along with the story. If I hadn't already played the games that this game "borrowed" from, then I am sure I would enjoy it a lot more.

Too many games are following the same formula and it's personally getting old. I was hoping this game would do something new, but it didn't deliver on that.

It sounds like Zelda might be more of the open world game for you, have you tried it yet?

How do I get different types of arrows for the trip caster? I still only have shock arrows. I must have missed something.

The first one is a blue icon, I've only found one so far. You'll know, it's an occasion when you go in.

I bought the ropecaster but haven't really used it yet. I'm not sure what it's best uses are. I have a hard time ditching my hunter bow, the sniper bow, tripcaster, and sling setup. I imagine ropecaster is useful against solo big bots?
