I find Halo and all FPS games to be very overrated. To me all FPS games are the same and I don't like first person. First person confuses me and I just end up going in circles and falling off cliffs. Forza I don't think looks that great and I think Drive club is a great racing game on ps4. State of decay I don't think I have ever heard of that game before. Recore I thought looked kind of interesting because it kind of looks Zelda like and Zelda is my all time favorite video game franchise.

It's funny, I used to think the same in regards to FPS but then, I played Far Cry 3 and boom, my opinion completely changed. Granted, it's open world but I have also played linear first person shooters. This gen, I played Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Old Blood, Doom, Battlefield Hardline, Far Cry 4 (open world), Far Cry Primal (open world), Dying Light (open world) and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (open world to an extent and has third person cover). For me personally, I would only rate Battlefield less than an 8/10. Some of these games are damn good. You should try a few of them. Like me, you might be pleasantly surprised.

I suggest you watch Forza Horizon 3 from this past E3. It looks amazing. Even im tempted to buy it and im definitely downloading the demo tomorrow.

Never heard of State of Decay???? That's blasphemy. LOL. It's a very good pure survival exploration, scavenging game. Can't wait for the sequel.

ReCore is a Mega Man / Metroid prime game. I'll definitely post my impressions Tuesday night or Wednesday.

Well that's why having multiple systems are good for gamers and let's not make opinions seem like it's facts....
My opinions on it:
For me I loved the first couple Halos but after that...bleh.
State of Decay was "ok" to me. Dying light was as fun if not more.

Agree about Forza but never was a fan of Gears.

While I prefer the Sony exclusive much more and it's not even remotely close (The Show, Uncharted, TLOU etc..) It's GREAT we do have completion in the systems.

As far as Recore. When I first seen it I was pretty excited. Still am and hope the load times/issues are fixed pretty fast. I already have built up a backlog again after saying I wasn't going to... so might as well add to it.

Dying Light is an excellent game but so is State of Decay but they are two different games. State of Decay is more of a simulation where scavenging, exploring, etc. are the main focus of the game.

I'm a fan of Gears but was never able to play them because the motion always made me light headed. Tried twice and same crap happened. Hoping that Gears of War 4 doesn't do that so I can play it. Definitely looking forward to it though.

The load times aren't half as bad as reported. It seems that one or two people had two minute or so load times but others on neogaf that have the game tested it and the longest loading time was about 48 seconds. Some think that the user who was having those long loading times needed to re-install the game.

I have a backlog too so don't feel too bad.

Eh other than some bugs and a sub-par ending maybe it sounds like people actually like it a lot.

Hopefully the day 1 patch and others can help the bugs. I'll probably watch some twitch streams before making a decision, I often feel opposite of a lot of those review sites.

Reviews are the definition of mixed lol, all over the place. Some like it, some think it has too many bugs, it's honestly hard to take much of any consensus from them.

Was never very interested in this game for one reason or another but hope it runs well on PC, hope to pick it up at some point because it's a Play Anywhere title.

Semantics aside, it’s important that I point out ReCore’s frame rate is solid and the game packs all the graphics options I’d expect from a typical PC title. Do I like the fact it’s sold only through the Windows Store? No. But at least this port isn’t half-busted like the aforementioned Quantum Break and Gears of War.

In fact, if for whatever reason you are going to play ReCore, I feel confident saying the PC is the definitive version. Talking to friends who played the Xbox One version, I initially complained that ReCore’s loads are absurdly long—we’re talking thirty seconds or more for some areas, installed on an SSD. Their response? The Xbox One’s load times are sometimes upwards of two minutes. Both are egregious, but at least the PC takes less time to prepare itself than your average cup o’ noodles

I’ve also heard complaints about ugly-looking textures on the Xbox One. The PC has some noticeably stretched rock textures, but otherwise I think looks pretty solid—at least as good as any other B-tier open-world game.

I’m not hand-waving away ReCore’s technical issues—the load times in particular, but also a handful of crashes and a bugged final boss fight that saw him clip through the floor and disappear. It definitely is not up to par with other big-budget releases, and we’ve scored down a point accordingly. I am, however, willing to say that this time it’s not the fault of Microsoft’s Universal Windows Platform initiative or the Windows Store.

GamingBolt gave it an 8/10 and they're my number one site I go by for reviews. At the very least, im hoping that the game is at least a 7/10 for me. I'll be happy with that.

30 second load times on a SSD is terrible. Jesus I can't imagine how bad it feels on Xbox

12-14 hours from what I can remember reading.

This game actually runs well on my PC. Quite a few graphical options. As you change some of the video options, you can see the change immediately without having to leave the menu or restart the game. I love when they implement that. Also has an adjustable framerate, vsync on/off. Keyboard bindings can be adjusted. Controller bindings can't, though. So far, it seems like a pretty decent port.

I've noticed a few frame dips, but it seems to be related the world loading in the background.

I bought this game last night for my Xbox. I hope the Xbox 1 "S" i have can make the game run a lil better. Gunna try the game this weekend. Still finishing other games.
