Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls (PS4)

Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls are coming to PS4

We’re really excited to finally reveal that two classic Quantic Dream games are coming to PlayStation 4 only for Europe and the PAL region – we’re bringing both Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls to a PS4 near you soon. Both titles will be available as individual digital releases, with a two-game bundle also available both digitally and physically.

For many players Heavy Rain was a defining moment in their gaming history, and for us it was definitely a milestone of the PS3 generation. The BAFTA and AIAS winning game helped establish what we like to call ‘interactive drama’ back in 2010, and loads of you have told us over the years how much the game’s story of a father who would do anything for his son moved you.

We’re really proud of Heavy Rain and we can’t wait for you to either play it again or experience it for the very first time.

Later in the life of the PS3 came its spiritual sequel, Beyond: Two Souls. We loved the epic journey of Jodie Holmes, featuring an incredible performance from Ellen Page complemented by the wonderful talent of Willem Dafoe.

Jodie’s story is a tumultuous one, and one we know touched many of you at the time. On PS4 you will have the opportunity to experience that story played in chronological order, watching Jodie grow from a curious young girl to a powerful woman. We’re hoping you’ll get a kick out of this much-requested mode.

We can’t wait to show you what they look like now… We’ll share more details on exactly when and how you can get your hands on these classic games soon!

If you liked heavy rain then you will like two souls as i just finished it last week. It's not near as good but it's still a fun game with a change of pace from others. They are some major things that heavy rain does better like the story but the voice acting is better in two souls

Never played either of these two. I missed a lot of great games last gen (TLOU included) and it has paid off for me so far on PS4. Will buy these for sure

Heavy Rain was in my top three games from last gen. I never played Beyond Two Souls because I was too busy at the time of it's release and have been banking on it coming to PS4. I'm pumped about both, although I'm hoping that they're both appropriately priced.

Re: Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls (PS4)

I'm perfectly fine with PS3 games that help define the console making their way to the PS4. There were A LOT of people who were 360 only that missed out on some great games and they will have a chance to experience it.

I get where the burnt out on rehashing of games comes from, but I make exceptions for games like Heavy Rain, Uncharted, God of War, and TLOU.

The best thing about this to me is that it shows the studio is still alive and it opens the door for another game down the road for the PS4. Heavy Rain was my favorite game from last gen that wasn't part of a series.

That's a good way of looking at the situation. I was getting ready to post complaining about more remastered editions, but this really stood out to me.

I haven't played Beyond: Two Souls yet, so maybe I'll just wait for the PS4 version. LOVED Heavy Rain, though. Like you said, my favorite non-franchise/series game.

Heavy Rain - no thanks. It was good, but I've always felt like it's overrated.

                            Never played Beyond: Two Souls.

I thought heavy rain was great. For me it was spine-tingling throughout.
That said I am more than a little surprised that they would bring this over to ps4.
