Re: Super Mario Maker
1. Get new delivery of items. Place all new items on the map at least once, then keep building a map for about 5 minutes (it doesn't matter what you do), then you will get alert that says you will get a delivery the next day.
2. Fill a large chunk of screen full of blocks then hit L button to grab all of them (multi-grab mode), then ZL to copy that and keep pasting it over the level over and over again. Once you have done this enough it will say the delivery truck has arrived early and you will get the new map items. This step should take 2-3 minutes
3. Rinse and repeat for all deliveries."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams

Re: Super Mario Maker
Guys, if you aren't sure about getting the system then do yourself a favour and not buy it. The Wii U has struggled and you get a good game maybe every 6 months. It's not going to improve. Our system largely collects dust and is broken out when a group of friends comes over or every new release once in awhile. And my kids have actually gotten sick of Mario although they might love to create these levels since they love Minecraft.
Bcruise and zanner - just hold on to that cash. It's a nice secondary system but not if you are spending $200+ imo.
My son has one and he rarely touches it. Only when a new Mario game comes out every year or 6 months will the thing even get turned on.
It's a great party console though if you have more than 2 players and want your kids to play a game without blood or swearing.
Other than that, I don't believe there's a game on the Wii U that's worth the $350 ticket price.
Buy it used, or wait for a serious price drop, otherwise, save your money.
EDIT: I'm also having serious doubts that the new Zelda game will even come out for the Wii U.
I wouldn't be surprised if they continue working on it for the NX instead.
This Zelda game was supposed to be a launch title for the U and yet we're approaching 3 years and it's still not out.
I also have lost a lot of faith and confidence on Nintendo's leadership. They admitted they had no clue how hard it was to program HD games. Seriously?
I'm also going to boycott any Nintendo console if they abandon the Wii U so soon. That's a lot of money people wasted.
It should have included BR capability and it should have been at least as powerful as the 360 and PS3.
This new NX, it better be way more powerful than the PS4/XB1 and it should have all the bells and whistles with it too.
Otherwise, it'll only be another secondary console used to play the same games we've been playing for the past 30 years; Mario, Zelda, Metroid.Last edited by Money99; 09-22-2015, 07:32 AM.Comment

Re: Super Mario Maker
Just tried my first Expert 100 Mario Challenge.........maybe it was just my first time but it was troll levels in 5 of the first 6. Hidden blocks everywhere, ? marks that spawn enemies enemies (especially the boos in a circle), etc.
Only one level was difficult without being trolling. I'll try it again, but if its always like that I'll be staying away....wish there were more truly difficult levels, but I guess people just troll instead of being creative....sigh"You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams

Re: Super Mario Maker
Basically, I have found 4 types of levels.
1. Troll levels, as above
2. Levels so hard I don't think I would ever beat- I was routinely getting levels that had 150+ attempts with no clears....also those levels had no stars
3. Very difficult, perfect frame timing levels (ie, perfectly timed jumps, etc.) that would probably take me 10+ lives to complete
4. Fun difficult levels that take me 3-4 tries on average
So basically I'd be looking for levels I thought I could beat but its hard to tell at first, and it ended up not being fun at all. I like a level that takes me 10 times to beat but not if I have to clear 16 stages on 100 lives.
I think Nintendo needs to curate the courses more than just having courses with abysmal clear rates....that would pretty much fix the issue for me"You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams

Re: Super Mario Maker
Surprised this didn't get mentioned, but Nintendo is adding a web portal to search courses and you can save them to play later.
Also if anyone has played recently, Nintendo has added "Event Courses"- which is basically levels have won various contests or made by celebrities. There are also official Nintendo level makers- so Nintendo is making official courses.
I love they keep adding content and improving this great game. Still playing in consistently 2-3x/week and having a blast."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams
