Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PS4/XBox1/PC)
Really interested in this one...but will definitely be waiting for reviews from users.
Not sure what to make of the trailer...some bits looked great, others looked almost amateur.
This game could be a 9 + or it it could be a 5-6. Really hard to tell from all the stuff released so far IMO.Comment

Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PS4/XBox1/PC)
I've been pleased with previous reports at times by Trusted Reviews. Apparently, we have an early review from someone that already has the game. Interesting early take from the author that bears watching before release. It's doesn't go into much details which this game most certainly has, but it does give you a quick snapshot.
Deliverance will need some tweaking before it launches in February 2018, but if you’re into super-serious, no-nonsense historical simulators, this may just be for you.

That undercover monastery quest sounds really boring. But boring in a cool way.I've been pleased with previous reports at times by Trusted Reviews. Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PS4/XBox1/PC)
Indeed.
My only worries at the moment seems to be with the difficulty. Don't get me wrong. I love the realism this offers and if you don't act smart, you will die, and die fast. This thinking may have me hit the tutorials training until I understand the methods before jumping into the story. I don't want to get frustrated playing out the story only to die constantly. Would love to minimize death to nill yet keep the difficulty intact.Comment

Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PS4/XBox1/PC)
We'll see how it plays out but maybe it's better to die in an minute or two and quickly reload instead of fighting a 10, 20, 40 minute battle like in some games and then die and have to start all over. If one can easily learn from their mistakes and win fights after only a 3-4 quick tries then it might be all right, otherwise I think that the game will end up being super niche.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PS4/XBox1/PC)
New information on the in-gaming decisions you may face, and a huge update that will come with the release that could possibly help with the early combat concerns revealed by Trusted Reviews; It surely will delay early reviews I suspect.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance will have quite the hefty day one patch for players to download on PlayStation 4. The Kingdom Come: Deliverance update 1.01 patch comes in at a massive 23.072 gigabytes. That brings the total size of the game around 46 gigabytes, which means that the day one update doubles the install size.
Here’s the full Kingdom Come: Deliverance update 1.01 patch notes:

Addition of multiple new events to the open world.

Massive improvement in dialogue animations.

Gaining money and experience is rebalanced.

Weapon and armour stats are rebalanced.

General combat improvements.

Improved NPC reaction time.

Sound propagation adjusted.

Archery is now possible in stealth mode.

Improved Persuasion UI.

Plus numerous other bug fixes and improvements.

Failure does not mean loss in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. If you make a decision, you will have to live with it. Your speech check failed when trying to convince the drunk to pay the money he owes? You can try stealing it from him, or maybe you can settle it like a couple of monkeys and punch each other until you get what you want. If the fight fails, you can come back later with a crew of friends to try it again in a completely unfair four-on-one bout. Every part of the game provides this level of nuanced decision-making that will let you play exactly how you want to, seemingly in a less gamified way than most games currently do.
This web of choices extends to reputations with town and individuals, and politics of the country, again based on real life politics of the time. Every one of these systems weaves in and out of each other to provide a game that seems to have exceptional depth. Often times, politics are just as if not more important than fights. While a clean left hook or a sharp blade can solve some problems, it’s the subtlety and tact that makes the real difference.

I caved and ended up preordering this game. It looks good but it could end up not being very good at all.

Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PS4/XBox1/PC)
The way the world works sound amazing.
But I can't be the only one a bit fearful. We've heard this song and dance from developers before and then we find out things aren't really as complex as advertised.
I'm definitely waiting on reviews before I take the plunge unless I see a really good preorder deal.

I'll be reading your posts. Glad someone is taking the dive.
I hope it's good. I want more games like this. Historical fiction without the magical fantasy mixed in.

Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PS4/XBox1/PC)
Some interesting thoughts/ info regarding Warhorse I've found.
This is their 1st game in the market. One of the owners, Daniel Vávra, the game artistic talent of the 2, has fingerprints around the Mafia 1 & 2 series.
Warhorse, originally asked for a kick starter amount of £300,000 (that's $414,411.00 to the US Dollar for this project). Their backing has reached £1,106,371 ($1,528,683.87 US Dollar) which was added to the project to what it is today. Quite an impressive support group for a first-time product into the market. They actually show you where those extra dollars went to in the game in their project page.
