By far, my most wanted and anticipated game for the rest of 2016.

I like the world map and hopefully it is an open-world with more freedom.

As long as the car physics and damage are somewhat realistic, I'm in. Mafia 2 had some very nice driving/physics model (minus the damage, that wasn't great) and I sure hope they kept it this time around.

It is open world with side quests and a bunch of optional stuff. Watch that E3 video. You can see all the different stuff that can be done in the game.

My only complaint thus far is the weird throwing animation for Lincoln. He throws a molotov and at times, he just flips/flings it. Wish they would fix that and make him throw over the shoulder when he's in cover. Oh well.

Yeah, saw the video a while ago. Sure hope we have complete freedom, I love wandering around and finding some little things and coming across some activity.

Anyway, the world look so alive in all these trailers (especially lots of traffic and pedestrians), so hopefully it's the way it is. It was a great era for cars - still seeing those old 50's cars with the early 60's ones (pretty similar in design), but also the early-mid-60's cars that started to change in design, and then those mid-late 60's muscle cars. Good stuff!

It's pretty much what I was hoping for Godfather 2 to have (never played it), but judging from all the videos I had seen it was such a waste. They really didn't put much effort in the car design, it had such a potential and they didn't care. Thankfully Mafia 3 will make it up for it.

Two of my favorite things are mobsters and Vietnam. Pre ordering this and Battlefield 1. Both have the 10 dollar coupon thing. Then I have points saved that will give me another 5 dollar code. Finally taking that 25 dollars and getting Rise of Tomb Raider. By the time I get my points maybe that will be on sale to get it cheaper. I still have to beat Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Mad Max, Dragon age Inquisition, Metal gear solid v and probably more. Between working on a few books and playing MLB The Show 16, other things have been on the back burner, but this game is going right in day 1.

I stopped buying brand new games or new'ish games a while ago. I used to buy the new 2K as soon as possible, but not anymore (I actually never bought 2K16, though I wanted to, but decided to save the money). WD2 and Mafia 3 are the games I would like to play, as I love open world games...and not much else. Not sure if I'll be able to pay full price (priorities, you know), so we'll see. I usually buy games I've been wanting to play a year or more after release. Video games are not top priority. That's the way it is.

I am looking forward to this. Never played a mafia game and with my other fall purchases I will probably wait for this to go on sale.

SP only games I've mostly stopped buying right away, until price drops. MP heavy games, like BF, Halo, etc I usually buy right away to take advantage of lively community.

That said, Mafia and WD2 look so good I'm buying right away.

^ Exact opposite of me... MP heavy/only = no purchase. Probably ever.

SP campaign focus (especially a lengthy one) = all in.

                          To each their own.

I just know with the SP games most likely by the time I get it, it's dropped in price a bit, and SP never gets stale. MP on the one hand can die off rather fast.

It's too bad a MP game such as BF is a no purchase. Ever. For you. Missing out.

You can find Mafia 2 really cheap. It's a fun game with good music, lots of action, great driving experience and authentic atmosphere.

Thanks. Hoping it hits backwards compatibility soon for Xbox one.
