Who's picking up SW Battlefront?
I'm really stoked for this one. I was trying to hold off on buying any non-sports games between now and Halo 2, but I ended up breaking down and dropping a preorder on SW:B. The environments look great, the variety of units and vehicles is impressive, and you can kill ewoks at will. I'm guessing this one will get a huge amount of XBL play.Tags: None -

Re: Who's picking up SW Battlefront?
Here's my dilemma:
This game ships on Tuesday and I'm still up in the air on which version to get (PC or Xbox).
In general, I'm not big on PC gaming. I play a few select games, including (ironically) Battlefield Vietnam, but I prefer my gaming on the comfort of my couch, in front of a large screen TV, using controller, not a keyboard and mouse. In a nutshell, I prefer my gaming on Xbox, instead of my PC.
With that said though, some facts can't be ignored, such as:
1.) Battlefield 1942 on the PC (which is the engine for this Star Wars game) is one of the most most popular first person shooters ever.
2.) The PC version of Battlefront can do 32 online. Xbox does 16 max.
3.) I actually have the rig to handle the PC version.
4.) My friends are split. A few of them will only get the PC version, while a few others will only get the Xbox version.Comment

Re: Who's picking up SW Battlefront?
I'll probably hold off on getting this for awhile, its on my Christmas list (as is the Trilogy), so I expect to have it by the end of the year. I'm just too into Fable right now and I'm expecting Lesiure Suit Larry: Magnum Cum Laude in October, so I'll pass for now.

The Xbox version may die out after some time. How many people are still playing RTCW on XBL, yet I'm sure there are thousands that still play it for the PC.Comment
