Who's picking up SW Battlefront? - Operation Sports Forums

Hey everyone,

We’re excited to announce that we have launched our own official Operation Sports app. It’s available on the iOS App Store and in the Google Play store:

For those of you who have been around these parts for quite some time, you might know we’ve had an app before, but the Tapatalk app was not “official” and was only a way to look at the forums on your phone. However, when the forums changed in any way, it would make that app a bit unwieldy/buggy.

It was still better than nothing, and we’re grateful it lasted as long as it did, but we did not have much control over it or ways to update it. With our own official app, we’ll be able to actually release app updates that can include new features and bug fixes.

On the app, you will be able to scope out both the front page and the forums. Since this is only the start of the app, we are aware of many known issues, particularly around the forums, and we plan to add more to it in the future based on your feedback. In addition, it may take a little longer than usual when you log-in for the first time, but it should not be the case after that initial log-in. With all that in mind, we’ll have a spot on Discord where you can provide feedback.

For example, I want to add more to the forums side of things so you all have more options when making posts and threads on the app, and I want you to more easily be able to navigate large threads with many pages of posts.

As always, we can’t do any of this stuff without you all, so thanks again for the continued support. This app along with the Discord are a couple of the steps we have taken recently to try and bring this community together in as many ways as possible, and we plan to deliver even more on that front in the months ahead.

I've been anticipating this game for a really long time as I am a bit of a Star Wars geek. I played for a while in one player and was absoultely in love with it. I'm not terribly picky about non-sports games and the use of the license is awesome (characters, weopons, maps and vehicles). However, I later became massively disappointed.

It's so sad to me, too, because it's such a simple thing. One of my favorite things to do is get together at a friends house and hook up 4 xbox's to a LAN with 4 TV's and get 8-10 guys together to play Halo. Most of us love Star Wars and were excited to see that this had 2-10 xbox system link support. Then we went to play and found out that when you link, you can only get one person on each xbox (up to 4 on Halo). Ridiculous! I knew you could only play multiplayer splitscreen with 2 players, but I figured that would translate to system link as well. It was such a sad, sad night. I love the game otherwise, but this one small thing hurts it a lot for me.

I'm still trying to figure out what all the complaints about single player are about. Galactic Conquest with the difficulty level on hard is not easy at all- I lose a lot more battles than I win, and I'm no slouch player. At the moment I'm actually having a better time offline, much to my surprise (mostly due to the lag that's been afflicting most of my online games so far).

Wow.. that DOES suck.... It's not so hard to implement either, given a little time. (Trust me, I know.) Esp. if you force the 4 on the same TV to be on the same team....

I agree wholeheartedly. Put the game on hard, and it "ain't" easy! The CPU AI SOMETIMES will stand around... but to me, they react like YOU would when you stop for a second to gather your surroundings. And if they notice you (you CAN sneak up on people) they go full force in trying to kill you...

Awesome stuff. A must for any Star Wars fan, IMO.

Yeah, this game is sweet. I could play the Hoth battle all day. I hopped in an AT-AT as soon as I got the game and I was hooked.

Anyone know how to take out an AT-AT with the cables? I've seen a cpu controlled vehicle do it, but I haven't been able to figure it out myself.
