Some great ideas from Reddit - *spoiler for length*
SpoilerI was just going through the top posts of the month for this sub and thought it would be neat to put together what our community talks about most often here. Not necessarily bugs or issues, although those should be addressed before any of this I think we can agree. I just wanted these to get more recognition and not be forgotten as they're scattered.
None of these are directly MY ideas (although some of these has crossed my mind just from playing), so it isn't my personal wishlist. Again, just the more popular topics that multiple people have brought up more than once and talked about.
The list of changes people commonly want:- Omit the generic councilor fear dialogue for Tommy Jarvis. He shouldn't say stuff like "IS THAT A BODY" and "I HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE" when he chose to come fight Jason.
- In fact, switch Tommy's fear meter for a frustration meter to make him more unique and lore friendly. Let him get angry when he sees bodies. Courtesy of /u/FrankWest21CP
- Also, don't let him leave the map unless everyone who is alive escapes. To force a more heroic character. Some people suggest buffing him with this idea either by giving him extra ammo or, my favorite, giving him a taunt ability that causes Jason to forcibly turn to his direction. Distracting him. - Have Tommy spawn AFTER his cutscene. To avoid Jason killing him while the player is busy watching it.
- Remove being kicked out because your character is idle in a moving vehicle.
- As a councilor, when sprinting through a door you should be able to shut the door BEHIND you. Too often you end up closing it on yourself, left for Jason.
- Don't let Jason immediately do a grab+quick kill as it becomes pointless trying to fight back when the kill is instant, but also increase the time it takes for councilors to break free. Giving Jason more time to set up a more unique kill.
- Add a cooldown for joining another game or an XP penalty for rage quitters. Like people who quit just because they're not Jason.
- Increase XP gain for councilors to make it less of a chore. OR just reward XP for more actions. Like how long you get chased by Jason or more XP for how many survived in total.
- Allow players to leave the keys in a car, but force them out afterwards if it's not yet operational. Prevents people who like to pick up keys and hold on to them just so other's cant leave without them.
- Allow players to get in the car when it's fixed and in the middle of being turned on, not after the car starts.
- Don't give an XP penalty when a teammate steps in your trap. It is usually accidental.
- The intro cutscene should be in-game and show the player chosen councilors.
- Also, the person who becomes Jason should see their specific councilor being killed by him in this scene. /u/uDrew774422
- Make combat quicker and allow more movement as you are striking, but have Jason flinch less so he doesn't get ganged up on. Also, just improve hit detection in general.
- List of content people want added:
- Weather effects like heavy raining and thunderstorms.
- These game mode ideas from /u/eastelephant
- Assault: 1 Jason, 7 Counselors. All counselors start/spawn near one another inside a large building (Hospital, Police Station, Motel) on a small, rural map. Jason spawns outside. Counselors are given more defense items and better barricades. Rather than 15 min max timer, it could be 5-10. More "keep him out", rather than "hope he doesn't find us".
- Murder Tag: 1 Jason, 7 Counselors, same maps. The only change is once Jason kills someone, the counselor re-spawns as Jason and the player controlling Jason changes into their chosen counselor. At the end of the 15 min round, whoever is Jason loses.
- Capture the Hockey Mask: 2 TEAMS (1 Jason, 3 Counselors/1 Jason 3 Counselors). Unlimited spawns within time frame. Each time tries to stun other team's Jason and steal his hockey mask, team wins if they bring the other team's mask to Jason's shack.
- Escort: 1 Jason, 1 Tina, 6 Counselors. The counselors work to protect and escort a player controlling Tina on one side of the map to the other side of the map. Jason's only goal is to kill Tina. Tina has access to telepathic abilities that can jam Jason's sense abilities and has some sort of stun similar to Pamela's sweater.
- Deeper character customization to give existing councilors more unique appearances from other players
- the original "Stretch Goals" image that hopefully we could still get, at least some of them.
Now, obviously these are not perfect, but bring them back for discussion could be good. I know not everybody wants these, because even I feel a bit iffy about some of them. Again, they're just stuff I've seen brought up more than once under different posts.
Since launch, last night was the first night I had trouble getting in. I played three straight with the same group, but they ended the night and I tried for 25 minutes with no luck.
I have had two major glitches when playing since launch -
* Stuck hiding in a cabinet and couldn't get out, nor could Jason get me.
* I started floating and couldn't come down. I was on top of houses and it was as if I was just walking on air until the timer ran out.Comment

Just saw you invited me last night. I wonder why I didn't get a popup notification? Maybe it's when I ran to the restroom.?
