    Re: Detroit [PS4]

    This is probably true.

Way too many good games right now and I want to play all of them at the same time. I am likely to hold out and let you guys convince me when I read the reviews here.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

That seems right for a Quantic Dreams game...this seems like more of everything else they've made, good or bad.

Just curious, is there any shooting involved in this game?

Yes. One of the androids you control is a police officer.

The demo has a gun shot in it - though, I guess this depends on your decisions. I imagine the game will have more gun shots.

There's also some heavy violence in the game.

Not sure if you're asking because of kids or for your own enjoyment.

I'm trying to decide if I want to get this or not... Wanted to know if any gun play was involved.

I watched a couple reviews (Easy Allies and Skill Up) and this game seems really good. Do I buy at full price or wait for it to drop? Decisions, decisions...

You should try the demo. Not sure how else to describe the game. [emoji846]

Until Dawn is really good. First half was better than second half but definitely worth playing.

Oh I'm gonna love this game! Just finished the first mission.

                        Spoiler

6 possible endings you can have just on the first mission alone, and that doesn't even take into account future decisions that will have to be made that will have cross-chapter impacts.

It's gonna probably take a couple dozen replays just to experience all the outcomes from the first mission to the very last.

You can also see world and friend stats on the after mission flowchart. Turns out I'm one of only 10% to obey the android's demand and leave the wounded cop alone instead of ignoring him and applying a tourniquet. Good news for the fish, 62% of the world players have so far saved the fish!

Damn, such massively contrasting stories going on, jumping between Todd, Alice and Kara, Carl and Markus, and Hank and Collin.

The first couple missions are generally rather linear and straight forward, but now that I'm on the second go around with Todd, Alice and Kara, the flow chart is starting to get a lot bigger and a lot more branchy.

10 out of 10 so far. The beginning chapters are more of an introduction and showing you what is possible. Once you get past that, oh man......Game is just awesome. Story just hit you in the feels man. One of the games you have to force yourself to stop playing because man the hours just fly by.

Not shooting in your traditional sense atleast not so far and I doubt there will be. Basically in the mentioned scenario you have options to choose...use gun is one of them. If you choose to use the gun your character shoots but you don't aim, you don't pull the trigger. If your looking for that kind of gun play I don't think you'll find it in Detroit
