I guess I was reading it as no-android laws. I was like "why do they want to go there so bad?"Boston Red Sox

You can finish a play though in that time, depending on how much a night you play. I bought it last friday and finished it on Saturday.Comment

Re: Detroit [PS4]
Finished my second run withSpoilerMarkus staying on the pacifist route through Freedom March but turning violent for the final battle after almost being gunned down. Connor again spared the girls at the Eden Club as well as Chloe, but was only 'warm' with Hank so he did not help out by distracting the FBI agent. Connor went on to again become deviant, but this time saved Hank at the plant and they ended up as friends. Kara and Alice surrendered to the police after getting off Jericho, but survived at the last second at the recycling plant as Markus won the battle.
All in all, the ending didn't differ all that much from my first playthrough, but the road there certainly did.
For my third, things will be waaaaay different.SpoilerMarkus will snap immediately after Carl dies and take as many human lives as possible. Connor will be Hank's worst nightmare and do anything and everything for the mission, and my plan is to fight as Connor in the end. But I'll probably reload and side with Markus too though. Both of those endings really intrigue me. I'm not quite sure what to do with Kara other than killing Todd, but I don't really want to think about it because I have a feeling that storyline will be brutal. Maybe she'll reject Alice after finding out she's an android... I've heard that the scenes that follow are gut-wrenching. Or maybe I'll try to get to the river which I haven't done yet.
To make up for my third run which I believe will wreck me, in my fourth playthrough I will try to get a 'perfect' ending. In-between these two I might go after some of the trophies that I have missed so that I can get the Platinum trophy (which I have never actually made an effort to get in any game previously) by receiving my final trophy as I conclude my 'perfect' playthrough.
Detroit is without a doubt up there with Mass Effect (1-3) and The Last of Us as one of my favourite games of all time.Last edited by Entiae; 06-01-2018, 07:30 AM.Comment

Re: Detroit [PS4]
I haven't played this game since i beat it. I want to do more playthroughs and go different routes, but I also don't want to because I don't want my ending to change and have it change my memory of the game. Everything just played out so beautifully my first time through. I've been watching different youtube and twitch vids though with endings.Comment

Re: Detroit [PS4]
What a ride. This game is a masterpiece. Very few games have me staring at my wall for 30 minutes just thinking and being sad that it's over. I already want to play it again, mostly because...
SpoilerI lost Kara and Alice. I made a stupid mistake and got too close to a guard before getting on the bus and they were both shot. I was SO mad at myself. I'm sure I missed a good chunk of their story.
I tried to stay as peaceful with Markus as I possibly could, because I wanted the androids to be better than the humans. It turned out well and I got the happy ending for him and all of his Jericho buddies, other than Daniel, but he died protecting Markus, so it was worth it.
As far as Connor, I was the most conflicted when making decisions with him. I wanted to stick with just following his mission orders, but after he found out that he was not a unique model, I decided that he "woke up" after that and I started to make different choices, which turned out well as he lived and got the army from Cyberlife on his side after going deviant.
The only other things I regret other than letting Kara and Alice die were- I shot the girls outside the club, and I abandoned the mission with the Jericho group when the cops came. Both were split second choices that I panicked with and immediately regretted my choice (I think...trying to stay away from reading too much since I want to play again)
What a beautiful game. Graphics, voice acting, storytelling, gameplay, everything was perfect. Very few games have given me the feeling that this game did. Top 3 all time for me and well worth the full price for how short it is. I'm always conflicted with playing a game like this again with different choices because I like to stick with the choices I made and have that be my story, but there's no way I can fight my curiosity to see the different story lines.
Anyone on the fence should absolutely pick this up, or at least rent it if possible.Last edited by 33JAF; 06-11-2018, 12:14 PM.Comment

Re: Detroit [PS4]
Finished my second playthrough. I'm glad I went through the game again and made different choices so I could see scenes that I missed the first time around. Amazing game, but I'm putting it on the shelf for a while as I need some distance from the story before I attempt another playthrough.Currently Playing:

Re: Detroit [PS4]
I liked Heavy Rain. Two Souls I'm meh on and haven't been driven to finish.
Not sure if Detroit is more Heavy Rain or Two Souls. Or neither...
