What did you think of Two Souls?

I liked Heavy Rain. Two Souls I'm meh on and haven't been driven to finish.

Not sure if Detroit is more Heavy Rain or Two Souls. Or neither...

I’ll admit, near the end of Beyond I was ready for it to be over. But, that might be because my coworker kept riding me about not starting Detroit yet. LOL Overall though, I liked it.

It is more like Heavy Rain with a splash of Beyond 2 Souls.

I am a cheap gamer but I had some GameStop coupons and bday $ so picked his up for under $40. I hadn’t did a lot of research on this game mostly just watched the trailers and saw the amazing reviews. Heavy rain holds a special place in my heart as it was one of the first non sports game I played back on PS3 when I typically only played sports games

I am only about a hour in and I can already tell it’s going to be amazing . I am going to try and not binge play it so I can make the first time though last. I already want to go back and play it again once I learned some things I did wrong at the start

Just finished my first playthrough.

I guess I made horrible decisions because everyone but Markus and Simon died. Luther died in the attack on Jericho as I chose to protect Alice instead of helping him.

Kara and Alice then died at the bus terminal after getting checked by police after I stole a bus ticket.

North and Josh died at the attack on Jericho because I messed up some button inputs.

Hank died at the hands of "other Conner" then Conner died after shooting "other Conner" trying to awaken the android mass.

I went full peaceful with Markus and that ended the civil war.

I am wholly unsatisfied with these outcomes. I'm going to give it a few weeks and replay

This is the beauty of this game is there's so many different outcomes for numerous characters.

Great game. Finished my first playthrough and I was pleased with most of the outcomes. I'd definitely like to see how some other timelines play out, though. I'll probably revisit it in a few months.

I'm also enjoying the story too. About 9 hours in.

Game sounds like there maybe DLC's down the road which will also greatly enhance it even more the replay value.....

We will work on a sequel if we feel we have ideas, passion and excitement to do it, and if we feel we have something more to say about this world. We have a lot of respect for our fans, and we never wanted to do sequels just for the sake of making easy money. We are driven by passion more than anything, although it is not always something reasonable… but we enjoyed working on Detroit a lot, and there are many exciting stories that could be told in this world for sure.

There are so many characters in the game that could have a DLC about their backstories that it may be difficult to choose one… Actually, I wrote backstories for almost all the characters in the game, so I have a pretty good idea of what happened to them before the game started… But between people wanting an investigation about Connor, a full sequel and DLC about all characters, we will need to make a choice.

I was in the same boat as you then I upgraded my GameStop rewards to the fancy one and had a 20% off bday coupon so I got it for like $38. I have never paid $60 for a non sports game and if had paid $60 for this I would still be happy with it. I actually feel a little guilty now that I got preowned instead of buying it new.

I believe the length is in the 10 hour range so I will def play through it a 2nd time before the fall games come out and at least a 3rd time somewhere down the line.

Completed my story, and enjoyed it more than any previous titles from Quantic Dream including Heavy Rain. It took me a little more than 10.5 hours. I will say, it is one of my top PS4 games I've played. Some of the decisions I had to make were excruciating. I won't be playing this again because of the number of other games to play but its a keeper and a repeat play down the road with different choices. I didn't have the perfect ending and missed hours of additional play from one of the characters.

My Story

I failed in Connor's quest to find Jericho. I believe something in the past could have helped me with answers which is a shame. I enjoyed the Hank/Connor work relationship they had and Connor's strengths. There's so many paths I missed out on which would have added to his story. I also noticed from some OS posters how much he can influence your story.

The Kara and Alice story ended happily. After accidentally killing Alice's dad and running away with Alice, I became an escaped fugitive. At one time, Connor was in pursuit of us. After escaping, I was able to get help from city androids who brought me to Jericho. At one time after making a decision I quickly regretted, I found myself frantic and asking myself "why did I pick this path." Things turned out well after befriending <s>Nate</s> Luther, but then things again went bad when I accidentally killed a police officer who unexpectedly showed up at Rose's house. Rose (another friend introduced) would hook us up with fake passports to cross over the Canadian border. After more agonizing decisions, I was able to escape to Canada with Alice. The whole ordeal of sneaking around, boarding the bus, standing in line and going through the boarder agents engaged me and stressed me so much, it was brilliant.

After thinking I killed Leo, shot by the police and awakened, Markus went on a mission of peace for freedom. It went down hill quickly after a fight broke out which had casualties on both sides. Markus was now a marked man by the government. In a march of peace, with reporters present, an armed brigade opened fire, even with our arms up. A group of unarmed survivors are cornered including Markus and North as the troops advance with orders to shoot and kill. Markus and North touch hands and kiss. Troops are ordered to stand down per the president. The androids will now be taken seriously and a committee created to overlook their requests.

Debating on purchasing this but reviews for this game are very good. With work, golf and tons of games in my backlog I’m on the fence. Have to stay away from Twitch Tv.
