With just about a month to go, here's some info regarding the multi-player mode;

In Ace Combat 7’s multiplayer you can use MRP (Military Result Points) in the Aircraft Tree to unlock planes, parts, and special weapons. Some of those parts can only be used in multiplayer and can be used to customize your warbird. You can also use emblems and skins that you unlocked in single player.

In the battle royale mode, eight players will compete for the highest score. It’s a free-for-all mode, and if you destroy the AI aces flying around the map you can get a bonus.

Team deathmatch is four vs. four. Your team accrues points by shooting down enemy aircraft or dealing damage. When a team reaches a set amount of points, they win.

Players who score high will receive from one to three stars. The more stars you have, the more points you award if you get shot down. You can decide whether to take a risk by attacking capable pilots or play it safe by steering clear from them.

The weather conditions that can be found in single player are also active in Ace Combat 7’s multiplayer, including rain, lightning strikes, and currents.

I just hope the brought back the "free fly" mode from AC6, and scrapped the scripted field AC assault horizon had. Do both of those and im probably never going to stop playing lol I wish AC6 was backwards compatible on the XB1

The sad part is that $200 price tag for those puppies is at a discount price.

Bandai Namco has been releasing trailers for all the aircrafts in the game. Even though this fighter resides in Russia and China, the Sukhoi Su-35S is one of the finest looking killing machines ever created by man or woman.

GameInformer is also excited with its early preview and over the vr play. Man, if they ever put multi-player in vr with this!?!

The VR missions might be the real star of the show, however, and are genuinely impressive. The side missions put players back in the role of Mobius 1, the hero of Ace Combat 4 and general mythological hero of Erusea. The venerated tones with which characters speak about you is probably the second biggest thrill in the game behind the emetic quality of doing loops to dodge missiles in VR. While it is only a side mode, it could stand as proof of concept of how well VR dogfighting can work in general.

As someone who has dabbed in Ace Combat before but rarely dove in head-first, I came away from the demo excited to play more, especially with a PSVR in tow. It will also be interesting to see how the fanbase takes to the new game’s narrative hooks and the return to what people liked about Ace Combat in the first place.

If you preorder you will get a copy of AC6 with your purchase on the X so it probably will become backwards compatible on release day..

I noticed that when I pre-ordered, forgot to come back and update. That's exciting. I enjoyed that game.

From alot of the videos, it looks like that dog fighting mode stuff that seemed so scripted is gone, so that's another plus. Now, just have to hope there's a free fly mode so I can just cruise around and explore

If you are talking about the gameplay in assault horizon I agree with you there. Didn't care for that one. A friend and I used to play the co-op missions in AC6 all the time so it will be great to mess with that again. I don't think AC7 has co-op missions just PVP death match. I also found a peripheral on amazon that will hopefully allow me to use the old AC6 xbox360 flight stick with AC6 & 7 on the XBONE

While I am dying for a flight sim and this is graphically good looking I don’t know if I can get past the completely unrealisticness of having 40+ missiles on my plane. Lol I miss my Jane’s Defence flight sims.

Got the first mission completed this morning. Game looks great. Sounds great. Feels great. The scripted DFM stuff from assault horizon doesn't appear to exist. After completing a mission, you can go in replay it and pick free flight mode, and just casually fly around with no enemies too. Consider me happy in my limited experience this morning. Can't wait to get out of work and get deeper into this. Looks like it's going to be awesome.
