Cause shooting people 4-5 times only for them to not die blows. Or hitting someone with a machine gun in a tank or emplacement 4-5 times only for them to kill you anyway blows.....or shooting someone with the AA only for them not to die blows. And this is reasonable range, a few feet or so away usually. I usually play as a medic and I've gotten in be having it of counting how many times I hit someone only for them not to die. I'm used to hit now but it's silly.

I agree with this. After playing a ton of Rainbow Six Siege I can't really even play this. It frustrates me so much having to unload way too many rounds into someone point blank and them somehow getting away or killing me instead.

I can't agree more like my post say when u empty half clip into guy and he just runs through that and acts like bullets bounced off and he's OK just pull out pistol and shoot u or stab u.
Same can be said when u shoot somebody in their knees and they running and jumping around acting like their fine..Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I think the whole lot of you complaining about putting way too many rounds into other players only to get turned on are one of two things.
One, experiencing some type of lag, ping, whatever.
Two, y'all just can't keep your reticle on the enemy long enough to get the kill.
Lag or bad shots heh.
I play this game daily with rez (conquest normal not hc) and a few other guys and we nearly never experience all these things some of you are experiencing.
Try playing hardcore where TTK is a bit lower. Maybe that will alleviate your issues.Comment

As stated above, there are multiple factors contributing to your success in terms of getting kills. Some of these include -
1. Your skill level, i.e. your aim.
2. Weapon you are using - firing rate, damage.
3. Your health level during your encounter.
Battlefield is hands down the best game I've played in terms of movement speed and hit detection. I can't say the same about their decision to go with WW1. I would rather have another WW2 or even a Vietnam shooter.

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Well, not my connection cause I've been playing shooters online forever and I don't have lag issues or any connection issues that have this kind of effect. I e been playing the battlefield series since 1942 on PC, this is my favorite shooter franchise by far. This is the worst in the series in terms of how bullet sponge like other players are......I'm not trying to bury the game, I really like it despite some of its flaws, but this is an issue. As far as skill...nah, I'm not great, but the game itself tells you when your shots are hitting someone so if the game tells me, yup, you've hit this guy 4 times...well, than I hit the guy 4 times and he just ran away....now, I get it when it's at a distance, some guns are and should be more effective at range...but when I'm in the same small room as the guy and he just eats bullets....well....its a game and it is what it is...it's not so bad to make me stop playing the game, but it's just frustrating.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Oh and I should point out....sometimes I'm he bullet sponge. Theirs times I'm reloading, someone bursts in the room, lights me up, only for me to kill them anyway. It's not just working against me, works for me too...just makes the game feel Random.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
It's just a legacy thing with this game. It's not just about opponents being sponges....Everyone is a sponge.
It's only a 'problem' if you want a more realistic experience, like most people who are making these posts (myself included) want.
There are other games out there that do it better as far as not being a bullet sponge, and unfortunately BF has become more of one every iteration since BC2, IMO. That was the last game that didn't 'need' hardcore.
The people who are clamoring for a more realistic/less bullet-spongey game (myself included)...I don't think any of us are saying those who enjoy it it's current state are wrong. And on the flip side of that, I don't think we need a reason or an excuse because we think it'd be more fun with less of a sponge.
Everytime this subject is brought up it's always: this reason or that reason. We know you guys are the resident BF scoreboard leader's. And really it's all good, I am certainly not taking anything away from you for enjoying AND being good at the game. That said, just because we want something different, doesn't make us bad or wrong either. I just don't know why there always has to be some reason or excuse for everything. To you guys it's always an issue or problem with our game or how we play.... When in reality it's just a preference.

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I just don't see the sponginess to the extent that you guys are describing. I mean does it take some bullets, yes. But the thing about getting the hit markers but no kill and it working both ways for & against sounds to me like a ping issue or something netcode related.
It's caused by out of region players on the server. In an effort to accommodate their much higher ping, players with low ping will suffer.
Try to find a server that is 3 bars and give that a try. In BF4 sometimes west coast us servers gave me the same lag/frame rate issues. I tried a euro server and the game played perfectly. No lag and better hit detection.
Basically it is Dice's awful netcode. They refuse to allow any kind of ping limits.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I'm saying:
BF3 - Xbox and PC
BF4 - Xbox and PC
HL - Xbox and PC
BF1 - Xbox and PC
That's a lot of netcode to be messing up.... Especially considering BF is not the only shooter I've played. Now I don't necessarily mind playing hardcore, but personally I had to on those games to enjoy them, because of the sponge.
Hell I even fired up BC2 the n Xbox 1 the other day and it still holds true in comparison.

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Well I have the best for online gaming so I know it's not my internet...And when I play I always check the ping rate and it's always full green bars.
I play with a co worker and he's played Bf since beginning and he's even said theirs something off with killing ppl in the game.
And I know when I do shoot I always have lil circle in middle of their chest or head ....Like I previous said I use the suppressive m15 machine gun and it has a 200: rounds and I shot guy in chest that took 41 bullets and he ran right through and stabbed and killed me.
And another time I shot guy and he pulled out his gun shot me and then went after the guy I play with and he shot him and he got killed by same guy.
What is the points ??? What's the amount?? That players have because I know when u shoot somebody it says like 17 ,28 etc ???Comment
