I agree with that. If they could remaster the BF4 graphics and maybe even improve the netcode a little, by replacing it's netcode with the BF1 netcode (yes I am going against the opinions of quite a few recent posters) I'd probably go back to it right now. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of BF4.

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Well I have the best for online gaming so I know it's not my internet...And when I play I always check the ping rate and it's always full green bars.
I play with a co worker and he's played Bf since beginning and he's even said theirs something off with killing ppl in the game.
And I know when I do shoot I always have lil circle in middle of their chest or head ....Like I previous said I use the suppressive m15 machine gun and it has a 200: rounds and I shot guy in chest that took 41 bullets and he ran right through and stabbed and killed me.
And another time I shot guy and he pulled out his gun shot me and then went after the guy I play with and he shot him and he got killed by same guy.
What is the points ??? What's the amount?? That players have because I know when u shoot somebody it says like 17 ,28 etc ???
I will have to agree with a lot of people commenting here that the bayonet charge is extremely overpowered, and probably needs to be tweaked. I imagine the makers of the game will address this at some point. Until then I have a simple advice for people who fall victim to the bayonet charge often. If you are getting bayonet charged in an open field, strafe, i.e. move sideways. Because bayonet charge makes you move fast strafing will cause whoever charging to lose his/her lock on the enemy. This will give you additional time to defend yourself.Gig 'em, Aggies!Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Have you guys ever had something you REALLY liked but thought it'd be better if it had "x" ? That is my (and I'll just assume others who share my view) take on BF1.
All "netcode" and internet connections being equal, its not like there is something happening in the game when it shouldn't, or something not happening when it should...It's a fundamental aspect of the game that, IMO, would be better if it was different.
I don't think anyone here is looking for advice on how to "get better" at this game because they don't like the fact that, in general, everybody is a bullet sponge.
I like BF1, love the series, always have, and I've been playing it forever. Do I think players are too spongy? Yes. Would it be better, IMO, if players were less of a sponge? Yes.
It's just. A. Preference. Nothing more, nothing less. Not sure why that bothers some people so much. The retort is always that we're doing something wrong... not the case.

I don't see the bullet sponge at all. Guns kill in 2-4 shots for the most part. Some take more at far ranges
Same with nearly every shooter. You just are missing even though you think you are hitting them ... Random spread, recoil, suppression, bullet drop, etc

Has anyone seen one person ask for advice because they can't get kills? Or say they're a complete noob and need tips (in context of the current subject, not the entire thread). No! Nobody has said it. It's becoming laughable though, the responses. You all act like this is the first shooter we've ever played...Half of these responses are just ignorant.
You see no bullet sponge at all? Go play Insurgency, Rising Storm, Rainbow 6, etc and so on. Or just watch videos of those games. If you can't see the difference then idk what to say, but BF is surely not just like every other shooter.
The thing of it is, nobody has said it's a bad thing if you don't mind it. That's the funny part. I certainly couldn't care less how good you are at this game and/or whether you mind the bullet sponge. It doesn't negate the fact that there is one.
Maybe those who are so gung-ho about telling us how bad we are BC of the bullet sponge just can't handle the realism we're seeking...

Lol, come on man. You guys are killing me with the "your just missing" , "you don't keep your reticle on long enough", "try doing this instead of that".

This is an open forum though. If you post your opinion about something, someone else might disagree with your opinion and express that. To me it seems you are the one getting offended as opposed to everyone else you are pointing fingers to.Gig 'em, Aggies!Comment

I think you might be taking this a bit too personally, which I can say I never meant my posts to be. It's understandable that you don't like certain aspects of the game.

No matter how passive or unintentional, it's the same arrogant crap that gets thrown around every time the subject comes up.
The same people chime in with the same stuff. These are not differing opinions as you stated. It's the high-horse attitude that gets old.
"contributing to your success"
"y'all just can't keep your reticle on the enemy long enough to get the kill. "
"The difficulty of achieving this goal”
I think the whole lot of you complaining about putting way too many rounds into other players only to get turned on are one of two things.
One, experiencing some type of lag, ping, whatever.
Two, y'all just can't keep your reticle on the enemy long enough to get the kill.
Lag or bad shots heh.I concur. This has to be the best game I've played in terms of netcode. Rarely do I encounter an occasion when I ask myself "wait what I shot first and I got killed anyway". Keep in mind if you are using a slow firing rate weapon and shoot first while fighting an enemy using a higher firing rate weapon, there will be occasions the enemy will kill you anyway.
As stated above, there are multiple factors contributing to your success in terms of getting kills. Some of these include -
1. Your skill level, i.e. your aim.
2. Weapon you are using - firing rate, damage.
3. Your health level during your encounter.I don't mean to use the above testimonial as a point of criticism. I do however like to make a few general statements about this game, specifically regarding time to kill. I notice this game has a pretty high time to kill in the standard mode (not hardcore). This means you have to land quite a few bullets on the enemy before you get a kill. The difficulty of achieving this goal can vary, depending on the gun you choose, and the damage it does. Having said that, if someone thinks that enemies are generally harder to kill and take longer that is not necessarily an issue, given that it takes just as long for an enemy to kill you. In summary, as long as the enemy has no obvious advantage then it's fine. Having said this, you as a player can choose to play in hardcore and will often get kills by simply spraying and praying.Comment

I prefer BF1's "netcode" as well.
I've played from Japan since 2014 and with BF4, I could hardly play with anyone in the US without complaining about issues, but with BF1 it's not a problem regardless of the server I'm playing on.. Japanese or US.
Hardline was pretty good as well IMO.Comment

Not sure why this game is getting compared others like Rainbow Six and such. Battlefield has never really been a ultra realistic game
The setting is but besides that it's not to realistic. You have horses that can take a full machine gun clip in the butt, planes fix them self mid air, I poke you with a needle after you got blown up by a tank, etc
Besides isn't there hard core mode? What are you wanting exactly from this game that has you so upset
Serious question. Sorry if I somehow offended you

For those of us that do suck and need help with aiming (asking for a friend /sarcasm), what setting should I adjust? Like when a guy is running up on me and and I hold down left trigger to aim, I suck at aiming. I really like this game so I don't want to quit on it.
