Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Guys, I need help. I love this game but I am so bad at it.
I play as a medic so I can get points reviving people and that's all fine and dandy, but I can't shoot people to save my life. Should I adjust any sensitivity settings?
Is here a certain gun that would be the best for a really crappy player? I don't know what my K/D is but its bad. In a typical round of Conquest I usually end up somewhere between 4-6 kills and 15-20 deaths. It's so frustrating because I wanna play this game but I am close to shelving it.
Any tips would be much appreciated.Comment

I feel like I can hold my own in enough 1v1 situations (though it's not ideal up close) and I really like the accuracy and feel at medium ranges. It has a decent sized magazine too, so there's some margin for error. The Cei Riggoti Trench is another good all around option for me.
As for sensitivity I have it somewhere between 38% and 40% (not sure where I've landed atm), but I went even lower at one point and then worked up from there. I feel like too much higher and I'm a twitchy mess at anything beyond tight quarters. I have my zoom sensitivity at 100%. I also turned the stick aiming acceleration to zero.
As someone who is pretty noobish when it comes to FPS games, I had to "unlearn" using ADS as much as I did in action games and trust hip-fire more, particularly up close...that helped up my K/D quite a bit.
Also, I found changing the hit marker colors (as recommended by some YouTuber) helped me a lot in terms of staying on target after the initial shot (I use green for hits, light orange for headshots, and deep red for kills).
I went from having a .5 or .6 K/D for the longest time to somewhere over a 1.1 K/D now. Still nothing special, but now I feel I can at least hang most games I play. Hopefully some of that helps you too!Comment

My favorite medic weapon is the Selbstlader M1916 Marksman and adjust the zoom to 1.25. It's the same scoped weapon you see in most of my videos. I like it because it's really good at all ranges.
Actually just the Selbstlader in general is an awesome weapon. I just hate the Optical version. There are several good medic weapons out there.. I love that any weapon can be great in the right hands.
As for sensitivity, I have mine at 100% now and it's taken some time, but I've adjusted to it. It's definitely not for everyone.
I played Prise De Tahure a few times. I like it much more than Neville, but it's definitely really hard to see at times. I had a 30-4 and 26-7 round with both Top 3 finishes and wins. My tune may change when I lose on it and die from a few more *******s lurking in dark corners. I like that there's plenty of flanking routes to keep the match flowing. The flame trooper kit is devastating on this map.Last edited by AUChase; 07-21-2017, 05:27 AM.Comment

I like the Selbstalder 1906 factory myself. It has a higher rate of fire than the other 3, though the 6 round magazine can be really annoying if I find myself facing numbers. It's my best gun as far as accuracy goes for sure though.Comment

Try Operations as its just like old school rush without MComs.
This is my warm up game from yesterday that'll give you an idea. Didn't attack objectives much because I'm old and need a warmup game before my reactions start working haha. Why I like the mode is simple: action is going to happen around the objectives. You don't have to run around the map only to be surprised by a random dude chilling in a house like in Conquest. Maybe even start with Operations until you get a better feel for the game then move onto other modes.

Basic tips are:
1. Use your radar to be aware of what is going on. You can make it bigger and/or zoom out in the settings.
2. Don't take fastest routes to objectives. Run behind cover and parallel to walls/objects.
3. Find a squad to play with. THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT ONE. Your game will skyrocket when you are playign with people and communicating.
4. Try the sweeper gun and put it on automatic firing mode.
5. Don't blindly rush to revive teammates. Sometimes it is better to let them die then reviving and then both of you die right away.Comment
