I didn't play Battlefront and I played very little of Hardline.

Played a ton of BF4 so that is my comparable.

Couldn't have been more disappointed playing this beta. The super huge maps for one. Plays like you're out there by yourself.

To each his own.

The game is simply unenjoyable for me. And the drop off from BF4 is staggering.

You played a ton of Bf4, but the "super huge maps for one..." is a problem to you?

First, there is only one map, so you haven't played any maps, only one map.

Second, if you played a ton of BF4, what maps did you play? Did you only play Locker? If not, you realize maps through out BF vary in size greatly. So, to knock the game for huge maps, which is present in literally every BF, and more so than smaller maps, seems silly to me.

And even with a large map in the beta, I never feel like I'm out there alone. Plenty going on with 64 people in a game.

You're stumping hard for the beta and that's cool. I don't like it..period. I won't be buying it. And that's a shame because I was looking forward to some good times again with my BF4 OSers.

It's a beta version of a game. If the game is representative of the Beta then it isn't for me. It plays more like Battlefront than Battlefield 4 IMO.

Plus that map is horrible. It looks good, but it's far from my favorite layout/sandstorm effects.

Nah, I totally see what some are saying in regards to Battefront and what not, and not liking it from that standpoint. I think Battlefront is a really good game, but it wasn't a BF game. So it's not all rainbows for me in the beta. But definitely more good than bad.

But when people give their cons as being, for example, "The map is too big..." it leaves me scratching my head as thats basically what BF is. Large maps. Even in BF4, I'd go through games where I'd feel like I stumble upon kills, but anyone that's played BF extensively knows that every match isn't like that.

I played some more on the PS4 tonight & the game just isn't for me. I know it's a beta but I just don't find it very fun. Extremely disappointed with it.

For you guys that are playing the beta, were you fortunate enough to play the alpha? Do you feel like anything changed?

I'm curious about this as well...maybe it's the map design that's dictating the gameplay? I'm not a huge fan of the desert versus the map that was in the alpha.

I didn't play Battlefront (not a Star Wars fan at all...haven't even watched a minute of it) but why do you say the gameplay is like it more than BF4? I played BFH and while it was similar, it definitely was more COD as the gameplay (and time to kill) was faster and less strategic.

I played the Beta last night for a few hours on the PS4 and loved it.
The visuals are stunning, and the game play was a blast. Love riding up on an enemy on a horse and cutting them down with the sword. I still play BF 4 and this falls in line with that other then it being in an earlier date in time. Also the thing for me that makes Battlefield so much better then COD is the map size. The bigger the better in my opinion. So sick of running around tiny maps playing shoot, kill, die over and over. Plus with the vehicles, tanks, horses, planes, train there's a ton to do. Anyway Pre ordered.

Played for a few hours yesterday and last night and while I did well point wise for my team I just wasn't having a whole lot of fun.

I judge my fun factor for a game being if I can't wait to get back into it. I'm not having that feeling with this beta as I don't really want to fire it back up this morning.

I will play more but as of right now I'm just not feeling it.

Played a few rounds last night and I am kind of indifferent at the moment. Graphically I thought it was very sharp and did not have any lag or framerate issues. I did not play Battlefront so I can't comment on that feel but hardline I did play and I saw some similarities with it in regards to pace and feel. BF4 did an excellent job of stitching you into the game with your squad giving a feel like you were all there together. In Hardline and this title while you are in a squad there is a feeling you are not entirely in the game and feel more on your own. Now the map might be playing into this because you are in the desert in a sand storm. I am not giving up on it and I am going to keep playing it to make a determination if it is a day one purchase.
