If someone has a beta code for PS4 that she or he is willing to give away, I would appreciate it very much.

No third person, first only, with the exception being like other Battlefields when you can third person when operating vehicles (planes, tanks, horses).Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Yeah, this is pretty much it for me. After playing some more I just can't get that into it. I really wanted to like this game, but at least in terms of the Beta, it isn't going to make me stop playing BF4. The gameplay just feels simplified in many instances (no bullet drop, little to no recoil). Things like balance can get better, but Battlefront never did improve much in that regard.
I put in >300 hours between BF3 and BF4 while still playing the latter, but <20 into Battlefront before walking away, and the more I play this game the more it reminds of "Front" rather than "Field." It is just a beta so there's the possibility that the feel changes come final release. I really don't expect any significant shifts, however.
I do think this game will appeal to a wide audience, and I'm certain that's what EA/Dice were going for, unfortunately I'm just not certain it is my cup of tea. I'll keep playing the beta to see if time makes it more appealing, but if you had to press me right now, I'd say I'm not going to buy it. Pretty disappointing but I'm honestly not tremendously surprised.Comment

when you guys say more noob friendly and casual what do you guys mean exactly? BF is my go to shooter with over 400+ hours logged on BF4 alone and these impressions are killing me.

I am on PS4 and my framerate could not be any smoother. It is perfect, so I don't know what sort of problem you have going on there but it is unfortunate. Hope it gets better for you.NCAA: Michigan Wolverines

Reading these impressions make me upset. I had a gif here but it was broken. So instead I put words.

I'm still day 1 for sure purchase. Don't let impressions sway you. Gotta try it yourself.
Pros -
Still BF (despite what some say)
Graphics are superb
WWI
Planes are fun, and especially fun that all planes, or most of them are for two or more people
UI (I think most people equate this game to Battlefront-esque for the very similar UI, and I agree)
Gun list, while not unlocked, looks impressive
Cons -
Does have a similar feel to Battlefront, but not at all to Hardline, IMO
Some bugs, but it's beta, what do you expect?
It's not Oct. yetc
Honestly, I don't know why some have said it's too Hardline/Battlefrotn and killed their excitement. I do agree to extent, as I mentioned. The UI is definitely Battlefront. The graphics are much better than BF4, and very much look like Battlefront, but that's not a bad thing at all IMO. Those few things definitely made it feel like Battlefront to me, but the gameplay we all love from BF4 is there IMO. It's been tweaked here and there, and the lack of bullet drop some have mentioned I can see, but that's something you can fix and we all know DICE will alter as time goes on. I also don't agree to it's too casual. CoD is too casual, this game still requires not being a run n gun n00b.
Bottom line. Very good game. Thank goodness we're back to some WWI/II gameplay, cause it's just plain fun. I think some also just do not like the older feel, and much prefer modern war type games, and that's fine. Purely subjective, but this game so far for a closed beta feels very good and I can't wait for new maps, as the beta map is gorgeous and reminds you of BF gameplay.Comment

Played one match. Love the scenery but the menus are the slowest ever.

Glad you like it though. I hope it is a great game.
