For cycle zeroing distance how do you determine which setting to use? Do you just need to guess?Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
The medic class needs a complete revamp, I think. It has extremely limited utility right now. I think they should do away with the "skip revive" and just use the option to reject a revive as in BF4. I feel like dying isn't penalized as much now, especially in conquest where tickets no longer tick down with deaths. Lots of spamming respawns (and the respawn locations are terrible).
I found more enjoyment out of running around as a rogue sniper today, and I never snipe in Battlefield. It was almost always assault or support. Couldn't quite adjust to the lack of bullet drop, though. Kept aiming over people's heads and missing high.
I still do find the gameplay less appealing than its predecessors. I miss the teamplay that made the others great. Running around as a lone wolf sneaking through enemy lines was okay, but I'd rather have a coordinated effort going forward. I found most people today weren't really doing much objective hunting. The game doesn't get all blame for that, though.
I also used to be a rush fanatic, but for whatever reason in this beta, it just is not fun. Whether that's a map or balancing issue, I'm not sure. Probably a combination of both. Even in BF4 it took them a while to find a good balance in rush, moving around the objectives on the maps. For the time being I'd stick with conquest.
I think I will consider buying this in the future. I'll wait for some reviews and see how things have changed. It would be great to play with you OS guys; I'm not sure if my RL friends are purchasing this one or not, and they don't play BF4 anymore.Comment

Dying in fact means nearly nothing. This type of PTFO Battlefield is def different.
Vehicle racing from cap to cap will take over firefights heh.

Don't quote me on that.

Count me in as one who is not digging the new way conquest is generating points. The original way was pretty clear and concise and you knew where you stood at all times.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Finally got some time to sit down and play. This game is incredible! Setting, gameplay, graphics, weapons, environment are all great. Not a big fan of the map, but that's besides the point. Can't wait for the full game!Comment

I like it as well, but my fondness level keeps changing like a waveform. So far the class you pick isn't nearly as relevant as bf4. Also curious to find out all the tweaks they will make.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I don't know what it was before BF2 on PC as that's the earliest I played, but since BF2 and on, deaths have always affected the ticket count. Medics reviving had a direct effect on maintaining tickets. As of now, revives have an indirect effect by keeping pressure on flags, but the classic conquest is still a better game mode.Comment
