Servers are back up but I can't find a match. Hopefully they will extend the beta because of this mess today.NCAA: Michigan Wolverines

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
When does the beta end anyway?
Also, for those that get the Battlefront feel when playing this, what is it specifically that causes that for you? I haven't felt that personally, so just curious what others see. I've heard that it's "watered" down, but I just don't see the watered down features. Where as B-Front certainly was more watered down. Less vehicles, less immersion, etc.Comment

Another way I like to follow peoples impressions is to follow what people are saying on twitter and I have seen much more good than bad. No mention of B-Front comparisons there that I can remember.Comment

The general consensus (at least around here, haven't seen it as much elsewhere) is that people feel it's Battlefront-y. I don't get that feel as much as others, tho some things do feel that but only subtly.

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Also, I'm not really sure what everyone expected. DICE made Battlefront...did you expect BF1 to be totally different and not have any similarities? They use the same engine. The map, while it's a beautiful map, with great graphics, shares similarities because of the desert feel to it. I don't find that however to be a knock on the game, or a legit one at that. I think people also look at the animations, player movement, etc and see B-Front, which I do too, but again, what did you expect? It's the same engine. The vast openness of all out war is still there that is in any every BF.
I can see how people see the similarity, but it's not a bad one. Just seems like a, "Ok, they are similar cause the same people made both games..." type of thing. So what? It still feels like BF to me, and still has the depth we want from BF. In that regard, it's not at all less feeling or watered down IMO. Maybe people just had too high of expectations.Last edited by TheDutchDad; 08-31-2016, 06:49 PM.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I have no issue if it has some Battlefront feel to it, I rather enjoyed it for a nice change over the same ole grind.
Had that old school in and out FPS feel to it.

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I only played my 10 hour trial of Battlefront, while not enough to give a full comparison, I can definitely feel and see the similarities.
Faster paced than previous BF's, and again, that's OK. The scale of this map is huge (as stated) but still has more than enough action in the middle to get those close quarters battles in. Love the destruction of the buildings and the fact that you don't automatically die when they collapse.
So far so good. Looks good, sounds good, plays smoothly on PC. I definitely need more time but see no reason why I wouldn't pick this up day 1, as expected.
As usual though I see I'll need to play Hardcore, that's a general preference that I didn't expect to change. All in all though, I am enjoying it.

Yeah I was just trying quickmatch. I just tried the server browser and it's nothing but empty games, or filled games with a crazy queue.Ravens - Orioles - Terps

I closed out the game and restarted it. Now I can't connect to the EA Servers. Apparently something doesn't want me to play this game tonight lolRavens - Orioles - Terps
