Do tanks get less health in hardcore too? If not people must finish games with a hundred kills easy since I'm assuming splash damage is enough for a kill, rather than direct hits.

In past battlefield games I've always preferred hardcore, but I did not enjoy my experience trying it out in this one.

Some of the ideas are good... for example, being able to know when you're almost out of ammo but not how many bullets are in your magazine. But I really dislike two things:

1) No kill confirmation
2) The delay in the icon appearing over a friendly's head.

Not only did I certainly kill a few teammates by mistake because of (2), but I actually wasn't totally sure when I did half the time because I didn't have (1) to tell me that I'm a traitor.

I'm sick of being killed with the Model 10-A Hunter for 30-50 yards away. Unless they are closer because of lag or delay, it doesn't make any sense to be killed in one shot with that gun from that distance.

Where are you seeing people kill with shotguns half a football field away? I've been using them and besides on a few maps you are at severe disadvantage ...... Are you exaggerating out of simply being killed by it?

Because I only get kills with them from close to sometimes medium range. I also have a 2K/D and nearly 900 score per minute so I'm not a compete noob at least

Forgive me, that I don't know the name of the maps. For the most part the desert map. Like I said, it could be lag or a delay, but when they show the red outline around the guys, most of the time he's at least 30 yards away. Now, this is not every time. Sometimes, it's definitely a legitmate CQ kill. I just noticed it too much from distances that shouldn't be killed in one shot.

There's an audio kill confirmation. I actually prefer it that way and would even be fine without that also, but I'm probably in that he minority there. A lot of servers I stuck with on Red Orchestra 2 had no kill confirmation or kill log so it's something I am used to and do like now.

The delay is weird. I don't know why they did that. At least the uniforms between teams tend to be very different colors so it is easy to tell people apart at close to medium range, at least in clear weather.

I have to resist going for those medals, they are making my k/d tank AND making me ignore the objective. I tried the supporting one and got the assists easy, but suppressing fire is a pain - I either kill the guy or don't get the suppression notification.

the sniper medal (let's be honest here) is even worse - everything is easy but taking out 3 vehicles with K-Bullets is insane. I know people have done it and have youtube vids or using an AA gun and lightnig fast switch and shoot to their sniper w/ K bullet to take it out, but it's so not how you play the game, and nobody stays in smaller vehicles anymore, so good luck shooting a bike or jeep.


I'm going to do my best to ignore them completely, but it's so enticing to work towards a secondary goal.

Many opponents lying far off objectives in obscure spots sniping.

I'll pass then...nothing worse then someone sitting in one spot away from the action and i dont play the game to sit there and hunt snipers the whole round How that is enjoyable to anyone doing absolutely nothing but looking through a scope the whole match is beyond me but to each his own.

Use to piss me off in BF3 with these idiots riding the MAV to get on top of buildings

Servers are horrible (for me & a few guys I was just running with) right now.

My new MO... When they place our squad (we're all usually in the top 8 spots) on the crap side full of wimps too scared to push or wanna collectively snipe?

I play selfish and only keep the one cap our side is only capable of holding. Screw pushing & trying hard when the bottom half is going 4-24, 3-18, 9-19 etc. I'm not going tryhard for these bums.

I seriously wonder what the other squads are doing sometimes. Often when on a crap side, our squad is putting in work and capping whatever we decide to push on. Then we'll see the next closest cap, go and take it. Then we see we just lost the cap we fought hard to get earlier smh. So frustrating when the only caps we're holding are the ones our squad is taking and every other cap is held by the enemy.

I see what people are talking about with the gas grenades. Last night I was on operations in St. Quentin Scar where a flag is in that crumbled building. Non-stop gas, gas, gas. That does take a lot of life. It was hectic. I'd like it if it took less life, but made your vision blurry as if it burns your eyes until you put your mask on. I think that would be cool.

It was brutal today. As we were fighting hard for a cap I remember wondering where everyone else was. I checked the mini map and we had over a third of our team as snipers overlooking E... While it was being capped.

People should be able to play this game any way they want, however I should have the option to not play with people who don't care to help, capture objectives, or win.

If you want to sit on a hillside and somehow have fun go for it. However, the squad I play with is consistently screwed because our skill rating puts us on teams with teammates who don't care at all about being a squad or using teamwork.
Their low skill score is directly tied to them just being awful snipers that do not capture points, or support their squad . Team balancing needs a big overhaul.
