The last thing you want to worry about is going in for the kills. Stay back, spot, stick with your squad and give out ammo/health.

I'm learning this to be true.

I find it extremely difficult to see people in this game. It's like everybody has on a ghille suit and a cape.

At first I thought they were just protecting their kill/death ratio as I ran some of the names through the tracker and saw they were like .6 or something below 1. So I hop on my other classes and attack - I still get around the same score. So now I'm just utterly confused why medic and assault classes are hanging back instead of attacking. I've lost maybe 7 straight games playing with people like this. Do those classes have weapons that are better served long range? I haven't looked through or unlocked them all at the moment.

There are some really good long range Medic weapons. The Mondragon sniper rifle is particularly good, as you can fire off multiple shots without having to reload, unlike the standard sniper rifle, where you must put a bullet in the chamber after each shot.

Damn didn't realize I played scout as much as I do. It's my most played class at 8.5 hours and my second would be support coming in just under 7 hours.

I've got 5 kills with a flare gun, feelsgood

The medic class has some longer range weapons with scopes. They could hang back further then the support and assault class. I would not say they could hang back as far as a scout though.

It is tougher to pick up people in BF1. The landscape and uniforms on the soldiers really blend together. Plus they added some trickery with rock formations giving you the impression a soldier is there when they really are not.

Totally agree. At first, I assumed it was probably just me. Then I kept seeing enemies run right past friendlies without being noticed. I hear it's a little better to distinguish enemies from the environment on the PS4 pro, but I can't verify that myself.

I've been doing this since Bad Company 2 and hopefully it helps you guys out a little bit but I turn the in game settings to the brightest they can be. I use a gaming monitor that is pretty close so the game doesn't look too badly to me. In BC, if you didn't have brightness up there was no real way of identifying snipers - they blended in very well.

I was doing this constantly yesterday! Then again these spiders, regardless of environment, must be killed...if I happen to get hit a soldier so be it but the main objective was accomplished.

The next objective: tell these moron people that I'm hovering over with my syringe to stop dying on me! I've got all this heroin that nobody seems to want...I don't get it.

                      Game is frustrating man.

Spawning is really bad. Melee triggering is so hit or miss. I have lost count of how many times I have meleed from point blank in their face and somehow they kill me first.

Also, it is insulting to my intelligence that I can hit someone in the chest with a sniper rifle from less than 50 feet and they don't die. It is ridiculous.

I went from R6 Siege to this and I'm with you, I feel like it takes an eternity to kill someone. I know Siege is supposed to be more realistic in terms of players dying after a few shots but man bf1 is crazy. I shot a guy point blank in the head/neck area like 3 feet away and he almost turned around and killed me

Finally started to get into multiplayer on this the last day or two (a good buddy of mine buying it on Black Friday and finally getting his PS4 set up helped), and dear god I suck.

But so far, I've stuck with the Operations and I'm enjoying them. Sadly I kept getting stuck on defense tonight, I like being on the attack much more, but it was still a fun time.

That and other than wasting some reinforcements when you're attacking, I don't care if I go 20-0 or 2-18 in Operations, because for me it's all about capturing or defending and holding down the objectives as well as trying to destroy every behemoth the enemy gets and every enemy tank or boat I come across, while trying to tenderize and kill the enemy soldiers in between.

You should try hardcore if you haven't yet. It's precisely the reason I play it.

Sounds like the biggest issue with you two is TTK.

I'd suggest trying 'hardcore', but remember it's a double edged sword and goes both ways. Have fun & good luck!

Hardcore doesn't save you from dumb teammates tho - just was on a team that was literally all mortar brigade. Would've been awesome but these dudes would not move forward - our entire team was just sitting back and couldn't take a simple objective. I ran medic and BY MYSELF took out their first line of resistance. Think my team would think that would be the time to move up? Nah! They stayed and I eventually got overran.

I got on the mic and started raging. So frustrating since the other team wasn't "good" my team was just bad.
