Oh ok, well then its just not for you. I guess since I look at it as the bonus game and COD4 as the main game for me, I don't mind it as much.

That's really all it is is a reskinned Black Ops 3. Play a few games and I'm pretty much hate it so far. The guns just doesn't feel right they feel too heavy. Throwback and then one other map when you inside that corridor and you float up when you die are absolutely terrible.

I wasn't planning on buying this game anyway. I just got my PS4 in August and I've been playing Black Ops 3 and I love it so I'll stick with that until Modern Warfare it's sold by itself.

Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.
yea but will they take psn cards
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.

          Yup.

Bring on the remaster...this game is garbage, IMO. I'll be amazed if they keep going in this direction for CoD now after the terrible feedback I see from people.

Well, when you have people buying the game just to play the remaster even though they agree that the main game's multiplayer isn't great, I'm not sure if the message is being sent. Maybe they'll reskin IW, remaster MW2, and sell it for $80 next year.

At some point, though, they'll run out of games to remaster. So there's that.

Of course, that's why it's packaged. Can you imagine if the remaster sold MORE than their most current release?

I just don't get why they don't see the massive amount of interest in the remaster and think to themselves, "Gee, maybe we should stop making TitanfallCoDHalo and start making what was good in the first place, MW/WWII games."

                .

Yeah, I get that, but why not just work on the remaster and maybe add some additional content like more maps. I'd pay more for the remaster if it offered something new.

I have a feeling that we'll probably see another future game from Sledgehammer. Hopefully the next Treyarch game is something different.

My argument is that only money makes them change. Buying their full product even though it sucks isn't making them force a change. If you don't like it, just wait for the remaster. It will come. I was a huge fan of the original so I get how hard it is to wait.

I played Halo 5 last night for perspective and yeah, it's a better game than IW. By far. Graphics are insane good and the hit detection is top notch.

I still enjoyed IW, but it really is just trying to copy halos movements and feel. It is a shame for sure.

Still fired up for the remaster and ill slide in some IW as well now and then since I paid for it.

Life is too short for me to not buy the game and hope AV changes the game back to how we want it. I already realized that doesn't matter much once the NFL sold exclusive licenses to EA.

The equivalent will be the Remaster's servers seeing more activity than IW's servers.

You have to keep in mind that this game has been in development for three years when the futuristic craze was at it's highest peak. Infinity Ward had to have seen the community reaction to Advanced Warfare and seeing people become bored of Black Ops 3 but at that point you're already so deep into the development cycle that you cannot scrap the game. I've always been curious at what point they decided to make a remastered version of Call of Duty 4. There's no way they decided to do this three years ago as you'd think a remaster shouldn't need that much development time seeing as the assets are already in place. Maybe Activision and IW noticed the communities annoyance with the futuristic genre and knew that Infinite Warfare was going to be a massive letdown and mid way through development decided in order to boost pre order sales they need to remaster CoD4? This is me just speculating of course.

You go on Youtube or any Call of Duty related social media outlet and everyone is just bashing game. I've stated this in this thread before but IW just doesn't feel like Call of Duty at all. Unfortunately we probably won't see a boots on the ground Call of Duty game for another couple years at least. Sledgehammer's game is midway through development and is most likely another futuristic game, Treyarch is one year into theirs so hopefully they recognized the need for change and got the OK from Activision to do so and obviously Infinity Ward hasn't even started their next game yet.

Call of Duty is in a sad state of affairs. This is what happens when you pump out a new game every single year. They did it to Guitar Hero and now Call of Duty is getting to a very similar state. The product gets stale with every release. You try and change things and add new features to get people to buy the next game but then you get to a point where you can't "innovate" anymore. A classic example is Infinite Warfare. The game is pretty much a carbon copy of Black Ops 3. Same HUD, renamed specialists that are totally unbalanced, supply drops that are literally pay to win, similar style maps, similar guns, exact copy of the movement system, etc etc.

You can only fool the general consumer so much before they decide enough is enough. I mean the pre order numbers for the PS4 version of Infinite Warfare at the time of this post is 137, 142. Imagine how much lower that number would be if Call of Duty 4 wasn't included?! Black Ops 3 was well over 650,000+ pre orders on PS4 alone at this time last year. People are done with the futuristic genre and quite honestly getting close to being done with this franchise.

It's a shame really as I really do love Call of Duty. I think it's a great arena shooter that has lost its way. I used to look forward to playing the game when I had free time. I always had fun and enjoyed myself no matter how frustrated I got. Now it feels like a chore to play. I tried playing Black Ops 3 last week and got through two games and became bored. I'm looking forward to the remaster because it's a game I put 21 days in game time into and it's a game that's simple yet rewarding. Doesn't help that it has some of the best maps and weapons in the franchise.

Anyway this was me pretty much venting my annoyance and disappointment with the direction this franchise is going in.

I think they'll be fine. This will sell like hotcakes. Maybe not as well as some of the previous entries, but it will sell well enough.

I can see them doing a soft reset similar to Battlefield. Take MW/MW2 style gameplay and take us back to Vietnam or Korea.

I agree on the every year thing. It's just greed over quality.

Take a great game like COD4 and add new maps and new perks and guns over a two year span and really support the game. Do like Halo and OW did and add in game purchases that are cosmetic.

Instead the rush to put something new out every year has ruined a lot of games. They can never wow you with a new release anymore and that sucks.

I'm surprised that this game and the remaster have to yet to preinstall on my XB1. All the games that have come out recently have pre-installed it seems weeks in advance.
