Loved it! After playing and adoring Layers of Fear earlier this year, I simply can't wait to see more of this game.

How is it in comparison to P.T. (if you played that)?

I can imagine this being no joke in VR.

I love the demo, I only got scared off my *** a couple times.

Not as scary as PT, which is a good thing for me, I couldn't play that for more than a couple minutes.

Very well done demo, I'm reading about all th secrets in the demo that I missed

Yeah, PT was scarier, but this one is more straight forward too. PT got frustrating, at least for me, because I didn't know what to even do LOL

I honestly don't think the final game will be first person... I think this is a perspective shift for the demo only to allow some story setup and drive home the shift back to RE's horror roots.

This is complete speculation on my part and I could end up being very wrong here, lol, But I think the final game will be closer to RE4 (but scarier) than what we see in the demo.

Just my .2 cents.

Resident Evil 7's demo isn't part of the full game

The Resident Evil 7 demo currently available on PS4 for PlayStation Plus subscribers isn't actually part of the full game.

Capcom confirmed this to Eurogamer earlier today, where it was also confirmed that the full game will star a different lead character than the man in the demo.

The studio noted that Resident Evil 7 has been in development since 2014.

We took a look at Resident Evil 7's demo earlier today and I found it an unclear representation of how the full game would be, but more diligent explorers than I discovered an axe - complete with an attack button and all - suggesting that there will be combat in the full experience.

Resident Evil 7 will launch on 24th January for PS4, Xbox One and PC with support for PlayStation VR.

Of course, a horror story is only as frightening as its setting, and Resident Evil 7 pays tribute to the franchise’s origins on this front as well. Players must explore and survive the horrors within the mysterious, sprawling estate.

I think you definitely could be right. Maybe it will have third person and first person segments, who knows.

Only thing I think I can expect to carry over to the retail game is the increased emphasis on creepiness and scariness.

Ok....the demo scared me. Not gonna lie. I have never played a Resident Evil game because I don't do well with scary games, but I wanted to try the demo thinking I could control my anxiety. I WAS WRONG!

Don't worry, the other RE games are nothing like this, lol. More action oriented in recent years. Originals had a slower pace, good mood for their time, a few 'jump scares' that you would laugh at immediately after, but not like this one, lol.

Judging by EG's comments vs. P.T. ... Never play it, if anyone asks you to try it, lol. I have had multiple people in the room, and it still was creepy as ****.
