Dissappointed they chose to use a different voice actor for Kratos. Kratos has had the same VO actor in every single game regardless of console/handheld. This is just not going to feel the same.

At the ripe old age of 33, my wife and I have entered the "get off my lawn" phase of life with regards to TV, music and society in general. Everything from the 90s to early 2000s was better than 95% of whats out now. Anyway, we stream all the 90s shows on Hulu; everything from TGIF, Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack, Hey Arnold and Doug and the sitcoms from that time. Even odd stuff like The Critic (that theme song is Gold!) on Crackle. After finishing Hanging with Mr. Cooper we're on Living Single. It's crazy how disconnected I get when Kyle (TC Carson) talks as he's Kratos now. My son even noticed and he's usually bouncing off the walls.

I'm ok with the change simply because I now see this as an older wiser Kratos. Not the one track mind vengeance machine from the past. How old is Kratos anyway? The new guy sounds close enough. We'll see, though.

I enjoyed the polygon review. I don't put much stock in the numerical score reviewers give out but I like reading about the game mechanics.

He was, but from the clips I have heard, Judge's voice seems absolutely perfect for an aging Kratos.

Just saw a video of GoW4 and Kratos is using the twin blades and not the axe, so it seems as though you are not limited to the Leviathan Axe as far as weapons. Have no clue if any others exist for Kratos.

As expected, it's a masterpiece. I've got a big PS4 backlog though, so I'll wait to pick it up. I'm finishing up TLOU, then it's on to HZD.

Game looks amazing. Some people like to use extremely high metacritic scores against certain titles due to hype and popularity but honestly if the consensus from the critics is that something is a landmark title in its medium then I think it's a safe bet its deserving of it.

I always use my own research and metacritic to decide whether I'll cop a game and every game in the 90s has lived up to expectations. I know some people had problems with GTA 4 and 5 being 2 of the highest rated games on the site but I think they're absolutely deserving of the acclaim and representative of how far gaming as come as a form of entertainment.

I'm going zero-dark-thrity on everything related to God of War until I get my hands on it because it promises to a transcendent experience. Can't wait!
