How does this game look on a 4K TV and PS4 Pro?
(I'm scared to ask as my marriage may teeter on the answer).

As good as that new expensive piece of jewelry looks on your wife.

        Keep the impressions coming, guys.

I pick up my Pro today. Best Buy told me it was ready last night.

But I likely won't get the chance to play until Saturday evening, maybe Sunday evening.

Not too bad since I still have about 75 pages left in the prequel novel and I wanted to wrap that up before starting the game.

I admit that I failed in finishing. My own fault, but I only made it about halfway through, but I feel like I got the gist of everything. I'll finish it after I finish the game, before a second play through.

The game looks great on my Pro and 4K Tv. I did have to increase the brightness to 80. The dark areas were a little too dark. Otherwise, the game looks amazing.

Combat feels "crunchy", I don't know how else to describe it. There's a learning curve, especially if you have the Arkham games muscle memory. I like it so far, it's challenging and playing on Friendly (easy). I probably upgrade later once I get the hang of things.

I still haven't gotten the rhythm with web slinging. I'm sure it'll come, though.

The story is engaging and I'm genuinely intrigued how things will unfold.

                Re: Spider-Man (PS4 Exclusive)

I ended up only playing the first part but yeah it was awesome. You have a lot of controls and stuff coming at you right out of the gate. I guess it's kind of a tutorial but it's not slow like some tutorial's are. You do get a reminder of what buttons do what throughout so that's super helpful, especially if you're like me and suck at retaining stuff until you do it a time or two (and by a time or two, I mean a lot).

Fighting is a lot like the Arkham series and Spider-man's moves are really cool. It's probably going to take a while to get all of the combos down but you can definitely survive with limited moves and mostly button mashing as you get used to everything; and like I said the reminders certainly help. I can only imagine what it's going to be like once open up more moves. I can already tell that this game is going to be AMAZING.

I stayed up to about 1:30 last night playing and unfortunately I decided to actually "adult" today and go into work instead of using a sick day. Now no Spider-man for me for the next 8-10 hours.

                  Re: Spider-Man (PS4 Exclusive)

My biggest "problem" with swinging is that my most recent Spider-Man experience was Amazing Spider-Man 2, where the mechanic was L2 for left hand, R2 for right hand. So I keep trying to hit L2, and I perch on a street lamp lol.

So it isn't even an actual problem with the game, it's just me needing to rewire my SM video game muscle memory.

Yup I’m gonna get a lot of run outta this one. I swung by MSG last night, but it was during a mission and the map was still blacked out in that area so I have little clue how to get back to it. Gonna play some more later and see about checking it out because it looked amazing. Was trying to see if they actually got the naming rights to it in there because the last Spider-Man game I remember playing the Garden was a square building that looked nothing like the real thing. I should have snapped a screen, but I was geeking out too hard lol. Probably gonna do some more NYC sight seeing.

Combat takes some getting used to, I kept making Arkham button presses because I’m so used to those games. So far I have no complaints about this game.

The second half gets a bit cliche which is expected for a novel about a superhero, and there is a sense of rushing to an ending by having the characters "figure it out" after one conversation and very little information. Other than that, it's still very engaging and reads like a breeze.

I'm more interested in knowing how any of the info in the novel relates to the game.

You can't access them until you make the Advanced Suit (I'm like 90% sure).

After that, it opens a tab in the menu for suits.
