This looks really good imo. The city is right up there with the assassins creed origins environment on OneX. I think this might look better. It’s close.

Re: Spider-Man (PS4 Exclusive)
Oh mama. Swinging through the city just got even more fun. I used some skill points on the Webslinger upgrades.
I unlocked Quick Zip, which lets you web zip a second time without losing altitude.
Point Launch Boost, which you press X on contact with a point to massively boost Point Launch distance.
And quite possibly my favorite of all skills, Air Tricks! You hold Triangle and Circle and press the left stick in a direction to perform aerial tricks to earn extra Focus and XP while swinging through the air. The skill video shows, as an example, reach the highest point of your upswing, let go of the web, then start rapidly somersaulting through the air as you arc your way back down towards the ground.
There's also Charge Jump, which is going to be my next unlock. Hold R2 and X while running or standing to build up charge, then release X for a huge leap into the air.Comment

Re: Spider-Man (PS4 Exclusive)
Yeah the trick skill is great. Another thing that reminds me of tony hawk which is why I loved sunset overdrive. Doing back flips and barrel rolls while swinging around. Feels amazing. Some of the best controlling I’ve ever seen video game wise. If I’m able to grind eventually in this game it would be perfection.Comment

Re: Spider-Man (PS4 Exclusive)
I knew this was going to happen, lol.
I've been on for an hour and a half since I got home from work. ALL I have done this entire time, is just web swing around the city, fighting thugs as I come across them, collecting backpacks and descrambling towers.
Over two hours total between last night after midnight and tonight since I got the mission to go back to the lab to repair my spidey suit, and I have not done it, lol. It's going to take me a long time to complete the story and all missions in this game with how much fun it is to just literally do nothing but swing around the city and do mid-air tricks.Comment

Re: Spider-Man (PS4 Exclusive)
Yeah, my whole plan was to do the same, but I figured since I had $155 in store credit after trading in my old PS4, I decided to just pre-order through Gamestop since I was already there. Though after the debacle this has been, I'm definitely sticking to the PS Store for my digital pre-orders from now on. I'll use my remaining store credit for older games that I never got around to buying in the past.Comment

Re: Spider-Man (PS4 Exclusive)
Played 11 hours today and would still be playing right now if it wasn't for some kind of system error that kicked me out of the game back to the dashboard.
Great game thus far. It's basically a combination of Arkham City/Knight and a Ubisoft open world game. Love how R2 is parkour/traversal. Playing on spectacular (hard) and have died a good amount of times but I literally just started to upgrade before the error happened. I have 15+ skill points that I haven't even touched yet. The brawlers/stocky guys are a pain in the *** as they can hit you with a two or three hit combo if you aren't quick enough to avoid their attacks.
Have already 100% completed all the radio towers, landmarks, backpacks, construction sites and thug crimes in all 9 districts. Despite that, there's still a good amount of "unknowns" in each district. Have only done 8 story missions and 2 side quests thus far.
Overall, great game thus far but still a ways to go as im around 30% overall completion. Definitely have a few negatives but the positives far outweigh them but this being the first of what will most likely be a trilogy is very impressive. Insomniac is one hell of a developer.Comment

Re: Spider-Man (PS4 Exclusive)
I see how it can happen. I was so busy enjoying the missions and stuff that once I took a second and looked at the menu I realized I was sitting on 9 points myself.Comment

Re: Spider-Man (PS4 Exclusive)
I got to play sooner than I expected. Set up my Pro last night, started downloading Spider-Man and a couple games and went to work.
Only got to finish the first mission which is essentially an intro.
For anyone that reads the novel, it finishes exactly where this game begins.
Game looks beautiful. This is the first game I play in 4K / HDR whatever the heck (I don't grasp this stuff fully) and it does look beautiful. Wish I had seen God of War in this full glory.
So I've barely done a thing, saved when the mission was over and I sat perched atop a building waiting to begin my webslinging journey.
Maybe tonight!
Also just looked at my pre order bundle items and realize now that I had 6 skill points to use because it comes with 5 free ones. I wondered why the game was so generous in letting me unlock new cool moves so early.

Re: Spider-Man (PS4 Exclusive)
I think I have an extra PreOrder Bonus code.
I got one from my Playstation Pro and one from BestBuy.
I entered both codes and the return seems to be the same with the only exception being that the Pro one included the DLC.
I did not redeem the BestBuy code. If it can be confirmed that I do indeed have an extra, I'll give it to someone here."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied.
