Was gonna hold off due to D2 taking up all my time, but I couldn't help it. Snagged this last night and having a blast. Web slinging around feels SO good.

Can't wait to start unlocking more suits and abilities.

Bought the game yesterday. Was going to wait because I have a backlog of games, but the superhero in me could not resist any longer.

I have always been a big fan of Spiderman and the thought of being able to websling my way around New York was reason enough.

What can I say : the game looks amazing! Love the lighting, I simply love just sitting on top of a building and watching the city.
I’m old skool so only wearing the original spidey suit.

The combat is absolutely amazing. Only downside – for me – is that I’m turning 50 next year so I’m basically an old fart with deteriorating reflexes [emoji14]
I have died many times already just because sometimes it’s all a bit too quick for me. But I refuse to go below the amazing level.
Must say I’m getting a little bit better already. I didn’t use circle/evade enough in the beginning and that will surely get you killed.
Now that I do use it I’m already doing better.

So far I have done just a few missions and am right now focusing more on the towers, the backpacks and stopping crimes when going from one location to the next.

This game really brings out the kid in me again.
As said I’m almost 50. I have 2 kids of 14 and 16 yrs old. Yesterday my wife running a bit late so she asked me to start cooking as soon as I got home from work.
It didn’t turn out so well……..she came home and caught me playing Spiderman and not having done anything regarding dinner, you can imagine the nice conversation we had but It was something along the line of me not being a kid anymore. (says who?).

Anyway, loving the game and can’t wait to get back into it tonight.

One question : how do you make a selfie?
I have seen photo mode somewhere in the menu, but is there an easy/quick way to do it when in game?

If your reflexes are slow make sure you invest in the combat skills that essentially slow down timing windows for you. This way you can pull off nice avoid manuevers and get focus when pulling off combos.

It's right next to the theater with the failed marriage proposal if you've heard about that lol. Well, I'm assuming it only showed up on one theater marquee? Anyways, pretty cool. There's a big ghost tagged on the back of the building too so that's a cool easter egg.

I just finished the main story as well as most of the side missions. I love how intimate the story was. I don't follow the comics so the only reference I have for Spiderman really is the cartoon from the 90s. That being said, I like this version of these characters. They feel modern but also familiar. JJ Jameson is a riot. I love this dude! All around great job. The game is a 9/10 for me. Outstanding. Can't wait for sequel. I'm looking forward to the DLC as well to return to this well crafted universe.

Just popping in cause I only post every once-in-a-blue-moon.

This game is amazing. I'm actually more of a Batman fan and loved the Rocksteady games but I actually love this game even more. Reason: The side missions. They're quick and a bit more fun to me than the Arkham games. I remember times when I would get frustrated trying to complete a side mission in Arkham but these Spider-man missions are quick, fun, and to the point (i.e. photography & backpack). They keep you engaged w/out straying you too much from wanting to complete the main story.

Another thing I love is the progression system. I'm about 40% complete and I see a drastic change in my gear. I can web sling faster, fight better, and have tons of cool gadgets at my disposal thanks to gaining XP from side missions. I just love how they did that.

Spend your challenge tokens or whatever wisely.

I think I only got 2 outta 3 rating on every challenge I think, so I didn't have enough tokens to upgrade everything and to get all the devices and stuff.

The only ones I didn't get gold on were the combat challenges. It takes several tries, but the other 3 are pretty easy once you remember it's more about speed than anything else. I think I knocked out one of the stealth challenges in like 25 seconds.

And they add up. If you get bronze on the first try, you still get two tokens for silver, and 3 tokens for gold. So I'm pretty sure you can get up to 6 tokens per challenge.

Yeah I got 2 out of 3 on my first bomb and drone challenges and didn't like them very much at all. Sucks that this is going to be what stops me from 100%ing.

You don't need to get the highest score to 100% the game. You might have to for the platinum trophy, not sure.

I did 100% just to see what the costume was,lol. I can't imagine ever using that outfit.

I don’t think I’ll be 100 percenting this if you need to ace all the challenges. The drone ones are probably the only thing in this game I don’t find fun enough to try over and over.

Was going to wait on this because of 2K but I caved and bought the digital deluxe edition last night

Admittedly, I hated the first 30 miuntes or so because my mind kept thinking of Batman Arkham and Spiderman 2 controls lol. After adjusting, this game is so much fun. One thing that surprised me a lot was how quick and aggressive enemies were at attacking. They definitely make you feel very vulnerable

Swinging is great as everyone has said. I feel like I'm getting faster every time I get out there
