    Re: Bioshock: The Collection

Supposedly all three games will run at 1080/60fps on both consoles. For a legendary series like Bioshock, that alone makes it worth it for me.

Is it a first person game? Never played but heard it was good.

Sweet. I already had Infinite and the season pass in my library and got a slighter discount on top. BioShock 1 + 2 and Minerva's Den for less than $8.

B.) lazy cash grabs, like, well, too many list, where its literally the same game, untouched, just now they can say say "it's 1080p!" You're basically getting a full priced backwards compatibility "patch"

I also understand what Kweb is saying as far as "ok, but where does it stop?" Are we gonna get a Gears of War Remastered Remaster on Scorpio? Fair concern.

I like a good remaster but I hate that some charge full price or close to full price. I don't think I should pay more than 30 bucks for a game that's already been released before, but that's just me and I'm kind of an idiot, so who knows.

Needless to say I will definitrly buy this collection.
When it is a genuine upgrade AND they package the entire series together then I think these are good options for the consumer. We always have a choice

Nice. Bought the triple pack ages ago but the sound bug with the original Bioshock has kept me away from playing it.

Infinite may be my favorite game of all time. I bought 1 and 2 on sale, but never played them before selling my PS3; I always regretted that. So stoked for this.
Same for me. I played the first one for about 3-4 hours but then sold my fatty PS3 for a deal I couldn't pass up so I could get a PS4. Now I will finally get a chance to play the whole series & can't wait.

Great collection. Infinite was one of my top 2-3 games of last gen. I will definetly pick this up when it's on sale at some point.

I know I'm in the minority but I couldn't stand Infinite. Everything about it was so bland. Riding on the rails was interesting but that was about it, and trying combat on them was not fun. There was nothing special about the combat and you knew a fight was coming every time you walked into an area and there was a tear. The weapons were boring and the plasmids paled in comparison to the other two games. The story was typical time travel nonsense. I thought it was maybe the most overhyped and over praised game in my gaming history. I've been gaming for 35 years so that's saying something for me.

My wife is about as big a Bioshock fan as anyone could meet. She played the first two at least ten times each. She can tell you by memory where every audio log is in both games. She actually refuses to acknowledge that Infinite is even part of the series.

                          Re: Bioshock: The Collection

I'm sort of in the same boat when it comes to Infinite. I didn't dislike it as much, but the world of Columbia didn't pull me in the same way the suffocating and claustrophobic world of Rapture did. I've still got a replica splicer mask hanging in my living room, I even bought the paperback novel so I could learn more about Rapture.

I've beat the first two games and their DLC multiple times, but my interest in Infinite dropped off somewhere around the first 1/3 of the game. Hopefully I can revisit it with this re-release and have a better time of it, although the first game is still the shining jewel in this collection.

I think if I had to rank them I would do it

                            Bioshock
                            Infinite
                            Bioshock 2

I agree that Rapture is definitely "better" than Columbia (for lack of a better word), but there were/are aspects of Infinite's story/adventure that I really appreciated.

The first Bioshock game just rocked my world so hard. So awesome. That is the one I am looking forward to playing through again the most.

Infinite was my first Bioshock. I hear a lot of fans don't like it as much, but it was sealed for me when you take the elevator up.

                              "ASCENSION, ASCENSION, ASCENSION... HALLELUJAH"

That moment ranks in my mind as one of my favorites ever as a gamer. Most Bioshock fans seem to have gotten this already with Rapture in the intro to 1 so it probably didn't hit them as hard, but it blew me away. It was also the first game I played on PC after building my rig so it was at the time the best thing I'd ever seen graphically.

I LOVED infinite. The city, story, the atmosphere, the combat and juxtaposition of serenity and extreme gore/violence... fantastic game. One of my favorites last gen. I cannot wait to play it again.
