How many non-sport games have you purchased this year?

Give me your best estimate. And also, what is the best game you've purchased this year that was a under-the-radar game. You know, sleeper hits.

This has actually been a good year for me in terms of how many non-sport games I've brought. The bargain bins have been full of great quality games this year.

Its hard for me to come up with a number because I have a addiction to trading in games just as much as buying them. But off the top of my head, I would say somewhere around 15 non-sports games. And the best out of the bunch for me is Deus Ex: Invisible War. I picked up Death Row about a week ago and that game is also good.

Rome Total war and GTA:SA. Those are the only two i've purchased and they're both awesome.

                To date, four:

SOCOM II: US Navy Seals: never figured out the single-player mode, so I just played the online component of the game. Then, all my friends left my clan, so I just kinda quit playing it after failing to latch on to another clan (I wasn't very good at all, and all the SOCOMers care about nowadays is their GameBattles Clan Ranking). Meanwhile, they still think this game is "the tightest janx eva".

Jak and Daxter, The Precursor Legacy: Very good game, although I should have expected it from the original creators of the Crash Bandicoot series, which I enjoyed on the PS1.

Halo: Combat Evolved: Second game I bought for my XBOX, behind ESPN NFL 2K4. Very good all-around, though most probably know that.

Doom 3: I didn't even realize this game existed until about a week before it came out. Was worth every penny, and kinda puts a new spin on the FPS genre by mixing in a little of the survival horror genre. Only negative is that the final boss fight was too easy compared to the rest of the game.

I plan to purchase Halo 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, and Mortal Kombat: Deception sometime in the near future.

I know the feeling. Its just hard to find your nich in non-sports games. I'm very selective when it comes to buying non-sports games. They must fit my custom made criterias before I even think about looking at it. Buying games I learned is a hit and miss type deal. Some games are complete trash and others have the potential to be something great with a sequel. Out of the 15 games I've brought this year, I currently own only 3 of them.
