Just my opinion, wrong thing to do. I did and it was the worst thing I ever did, I then sold my PS2 again and I own my beloved Xbox all over again. If your thinking of doing this just because of GTA, don't do it it's not worth it.

why not own both?

If ya cant own both then owning just 1 a Ps2 would be the wise choice as they make more games, better games incuding first party.

why do you like gran turismo so much......what about forza, with much better graphix, same style customization, and online play.

Hell gotham 2 is better than turismo.

I also did own both for a while, but found that the PS2 was just sitting there. I personally feel the games play a bit smoother on the xbox. And the graphics are always a bit better.

And without making this into a which system is better post (because i think both systems are great), technically, ps2 doesn't make more games its just been around longer so there are more to chose from. And i think microsoft first party games have made huge strides. Halo, Amped, Inside Drive, Links, are just a few great first party games.

Bottom line they're both good systems and you can't go wrong with either. I just personally like the xbox better.

Nah, I'm not considering it just for GTA. I also love Gran Turismo. Ever since the first one.

As for Halo 2, I really don't care. I know I'm a minority but I thought Halo was overrated but I'm not a huge FPS fan to begin with.

I just feel that my Xbox is rotting right now cause there are no games I am really interested in. I know I would use a PS2 a lot with GTA and then GT4 coming out in December. I'd even buy GT3 to play till GT4 comes out.

I know that eb games is giving $100 for the ps2, but I think that's just cause the pstwo just came out. So the trade-in value for the xbox is probably a little lower than that.

PS2= More games
GTA/just right now

Xbox= Better looking games(graphics)
faster load times
Harddrive wich means a lot these days
Better soundding games
Xbox is the best system for sports games, This Is my opinion, I can't even think about playing ESPN football on the PS2 after owning the Xbox.
A lot better online gaming

i think you can trade in 5 games(recent ones) for a ps2 at one of the ebgames here in montreal,but i'm not sure about that.
