After reading the spoilers, I will be buying the game used from GameStop as I would much rather give them $59 for a used copy of TLOUP2 instead of supporting Druckmann's agenda. While it's highly unlikely, I hope Sony let's Druckmann go after TLOUP2 releases. Naughty Dog needs a new studio head and to completely revamp their entire culture in my opinion.

Just to follow up my post above - NO SPOILERS.


I watched a 90 minute leaked version and while I still plan on buying the game used at GameStop, I must admit that with the exception of Druckmann forcing his agenda into the game, everything else is top notch. From the visuals to audio to animations to environments to gameplay and combat, it's all superb.

I read the spoilers and watched a couple of leak video clips. Naughty Dog just saved me 80$ CDN. They pulled a Last Jedi on everyone with this game. I'll wait a year or so before playing this.

Am I reading the same spoilers as everyone else? I fail to see what agenda is being pushed by the director and why there's suddenly a backlash to what will be one of the last AAA games of this gen. Sounds like a good romp in a gray world.

I get the backlash about "crunch" and working conditions in major studios, but I'm missing the controversy.

Same here. I unfortunately read the spoiler (wish I didn't) and I also don't understand the backlash regarding the "agenda".. I get it that some may not be happy but I kind of love the risks they're taking too.

I think most of the outrage has to do with this character Abby being transgender and the fact both Joel and Ellie die in ways which do a dis-service to their characters, especially Joel. Anita Sarkeesian who is a well known SJW advocate for video games and literally slams every video game that releases was apparently an "advisor" of some sort of the games story. Making sure every bit of SJW was in TLOU 2. I'm all for equality but I think most can agree we don't need it continually forced down our throats in ways that seem 100% out of place just to make a point.

I understand the point in killing Joel for the story but the way in which it seems have to been done is a slap in the face. If Joel sacrificed himself for her in a way that made sense I don't think that there would be an issue. Joel survived hordes of zombies, the fire flies, ambushes etc but gets beat and killed by a golf club? Then to rub it in after Abby kills Joel you actually play as her to hunt down and kill Ellie? So she becomes the new protagonist? Who thought that was a good idea?

I'm all for twists and turns but after reading the leaks I have no desire to play this game. I'd rather just watch let's plays.

Just my opinion of course but the majority of the gaming community aren't happy.

Thanks for that Sinister Alex. I didn't understand the supposed political agenda after reading the spoilers. I thought the outrage was about Elle which isn't any surprise considering the DLC from LOU1. I missed over some things so I kind of understand why some people may feel some type of way now. I am still looking forward to the full experience, though.
