Finished 4th in my third game ever. That was an adrenaline rush and a half! Had a firefight and got a kill and had probably less than 10% health less and was killed by the shrinking map! I think my strategy will be reckless until you get into the top 50 and then gear up for the big finale.

With points do you buy loot crates? Are there any other unlockables?

Happy I might not be the only one posting in this thread lol

Enjoy Xbox guys, I love the game. It has its flaws but very few games give the kind of adrenaline rush PUBG gives when your playing for a win!

Got in my first 3 matches and had a blast. Finished 5th in my last one. No kills yet, but I'm getting the hang of the controls keeping myself oriented on the map. Time sure does fly when you're playing.

Holy hell the wait was worth it....I’m in love. This game is so much fun and so tense, paranoid, and exciting...can’t get enough already.

3rd place is my best so far...zone shrinks so fast in the last circles, finally caught up to me and had no bandages.

Sucks cause I had the drop on the other 2 players...

Love the risk/reward factor and how even though you can be kitted out very well it can be over in a flash....oh and any mental error is punished.

Just finished a match where I had an AR with plenty of ammo and a red dot, level 3 helmet, level 2 body armor and backpack, and a frying pan...get to top 20 and was killed as soon as I entered the circle lol....headshot.

Bummed cause that was the best loot I had so far...just goes to show how you can mix and match and using your head is what truly counts.

I really love the shooting model in this game. You really have to earn your kills.

and the last question is there are only two types of crates? If I collect money and buy 5 crates one day, will I see a new crate?

I believe you can pay $30 now and you have the game or wait until the final version comes out and pay more. That is what I suspect at least.

Player Unknown's Battlegrounds

Played 6-7 duos with a buddy last night on Xbox. I can contest with most of the negatives that’s been said so far. Graphics are lacking.. frame rate is really bad at times especially when driving(really my friend was telling me while we were driving to the circle he might get physically sick because the frame rate was that bad lol.. I think he was mostly joking but it reminded me of the thread we have here “Does anyone get motion sickness from video games?”).

Also having been playing Fortnite for the past month and a half I’m not too much of a fan of the movement in this game. The landing, movement in game, looting, etc. is nowhere near as smooth as Fortnite. It just feels very clunky/heavy I guess is how I’d describe it and looting is obviously not as pick up and go as Fortnite. That’s something I’m sure I’ll get used to though.

Having said all of that, it’s still a very fun game. I do prefer the realism of the game vs Fortnite’s cartoonish style. I like the vehicles too and while I like being able to build in Fortnite, it was a nice change of pace not being able to. Don’t have to worry about someone building walls mid battle to stay alive or building huge forts at the end game. It’s just straight use the environment and whatever cover u have to your advantage.

Didn’t get a win, but I got 2nd in duos with my teammate dead for 3/4th’s of the game and finished with 6 kills. We could’ve won if I wasn’t such a noob at looting lol. I ran out of AR ammo near the end even though I swear I got some after I looted a guy I killed but I apparently didn’t.. and didn’t notice I was still low until I had already moved because the circle was closing in. Oh well.

Funniest part of the night was when my teammate picked up a frying pan and was asking if he could do damage with it.... I was peeking out of a window trying to see if I could spot anyone and before I could tell him yes because I’ve watched a lot of streams of the game, he comes over and whacks me in the head with it lmao. Luckily we had heals but it was hilarious. Like man you couldn’t have waited for me to answer lol.

Anyway def looking forward to more games tonight. It’s not a finished product so flaws were to be expected, just hope they get smoothed out over time.

I'm pretty sure that once you pay for the game, that's it. We'll just keep getting updates as it works its way to full retail version.

I expect the preview program to act like early access in the way that when it fully releases your preview copy just updates to a retail copy for no fee.
