I've been debating picking this up on Xbox but fear it'll be way too different from PC. I just can't see playing this with a controller.

Any PC players also rocking this in Xbox have input?

I had it and got a refund from Microsoft. They've patched it since but the performance was awful. I'd land in cities and the buildings weren't even loaded in yet until a full 30 seconds into the match. They have the graphics settings turned down too, so everything is blurry and the draw distance is very low. It's a huge step down from where the PC version is at now. I would say wait until its out of Game Preview and see how performance is then.

Even if they do fix the framerate I doubt I'd pick it back up. Aiming with a controller does not feel good at all.

Got my first on solos, only my 2nd day playing, less than 10 matches in. Really intense one on one at end. He was hiding behind tree, I threw smoke to distract and spook him, it worked, as he ran out of cover to right around smoke, then he got UMPed. Having a SCAR and a UMP as loadout is a nice combo.

Those are easily my 2 favorite weapons to carry. The UMP's recoil is so low that keeping it on full auto is my preferred method. Then you can have lots of options with the SCAR, run it on single with a 4x, throw on a halo with full auto and a compensator, or my favorite, go with a 2x on single letting it ring out fas fas

The S12 is hard to beat as a building clearer too!

So what are the top 5 weapons in the game?

Are any of the snipers one hit kill?.

Do snipers experience a bullet drop at long distances?

Yes there is bullet drop. you can compensate for it with the "range" on the scopes(100m-500m).

The KAR98 and M24 will drop a guy with a headshot if they don't have a level 3 helmet.

I think there is even a better sniper that can fall in the care packages, but I never have the balls to go for them.

I got a sniper in the care package yesterday. A body hit downed the guy, but didn't kill him.

I'm 2/2 on care packages. I think now if it's nearby I am always going to go and scout it out. I think a lot of people have the same mentality on it's too dangerous, which leaves it open for the brave.

So now the crates that you buy with the BP currency, which is earned by playing, need to be opened with a key that can only be purchased with real money?

I can't stand this tactic. I can't care less about cosmetics, doesn't mean I didn't look forward to opening crates just because I might get something cool.

Changing the way the crates work just to make money just rubs me the wrong way. You want to add a paid way to get cosmetics, go for it, microtransactions are part of our world and I have no problem with them in general.

But when you take something that was "free"; a way of "earning" something for your time spent playing, and change it to require real money to actually open that crate...man that looks like a straight up money grab. Like an IDGAF what you think money grab. Which, on the hand is no different from almost any other microtransaction in any other game. It's just a bad look IMO.

Feb 1st every Xbox one PUBG owner will get 30,000 BP to purchase crates and in game items as long as you own the game and log in by Jan 31
