    Re: Player Unknown's Battlegrounds

Getting a lot more comfortable engaging in combat in this game. I'm typically between 2-4 kills per game at this point, and I can usually win duels in solo. Most of it is thanks to learning proper positioning and how to use the environment.

I just finished a game where I had 3 kills in the first 5 or so minutes. Only got 30th, but I felt more accomplished than usual. It was also one of those times where, of course, I wasn't recording. I landed in Lipovka and the circle was WAY on the west side of the island. I figured I'd have time to loot and find a car, and managed to find a Kar98 in the first house I entered. I spotted a buggy but still had time to loot, so I went into another house really quick before someone decided to snag the buggy before me. I managed to headshot him with open sights with the Kar from about a 100m away while he was driving. It was by far my most satisfying kill, and I'm sure he had no clue what had happened.

Onward and upward. I still need to add you guys on Steam. I haven't had as much time to play lately so I've just been solo queuing one or two matches at a time.

Add me on Steam. reggiet76. I'll be picking this up shortly. I've watched a ton of it on streams.

I've watched this game a lot on twitch and it really intrigues me. I can't run it on my laptop though and they recently announced its coming out on Xbox, not PS4. Really bummed about that, hopefully PS4 users will be able to play it someday. The developers didnt rule it out. http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/06/...ly-come-to-ps4

Have they improved Xbox controller mapping? It had limited work before, and that's the only thing holding me back. I've never been able to get decent at mouse and keyboard.

I'd highly recommend practicing with the M+KB. I feel like this is one of those games where you'd be at a big disadvantage both in shooting and with simpler tasks such as looting.

I know how you feel though. When I first built my gaming PC I bought Wolfenstein and honestly struggled shooting with the M+KB for some reason. I had played nearly 1000 hours of Destiny on PS4 so it just didn't feel right. After a bit everything clicked. I couldn't imagine playing PUBG with a controller while everyone else used a M+KB. I'm already a below average shot in the game with the mouse, but I feel like I'd lose those 50/50 gunfights with a controller.

Does the game need to be played on a higher end pc? I recently bought a new pc for everyday use not really going to play many games on it. If I was to try a few games I'd look at this game for sure. Look's like alot of fun.

It requires a pretty strong setup, I5 4690k or high proc, 1060 or higher video card, with 16 gigs of ram will get you 30 to 45 frames. I7 with 1070 and 16 gigs will get you near the 60 fps. Anything less I wouldn't recommend.

Can you lower settings to run better on lesser pc setups? I don't really care about having everything on ultra settings I'm more about performance.

I5 4690k with 290x is what i run, everything is set to very low, lowest it goes. I get 20 fps on plane and dropping in, 30s in big citites, 40s to 50s in open fields. Its pretty unoptimized

This game is so interesting to me.

I watched a few games of H1Z1 and thought it was stupid but this game is so intriguing and fun to watch on Twitch. The end game really seems to provide the most intense yet satisfying moments in video games today.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

The motherboard should be able to handle it on pace with the i5, but graphic card wise I think you might come up short. To be able to tell, I'd need to know which card under the R7 line you have in there. Now with that said, I'm not to knowledgeable on the R7 line but I don't believe anything in that line would be capable to of getting decent fps pub.

12 gigs of memory isn't bad but the game does use a nice chunk of ram, but that isn't the end of the world since your paging file would take over.

Right now, I'd say the proc is border line and the video card is most likely to weak.
