Re: Ghost Recon 2 Impressions
I picked the game up yesterday, but compared to Halo, it's slow. I haven't played team yet, but even on the respawn solo games, you have guys camping waiting for someone to move into their line of fire. The no respawn games are agonizing, because of the wait after you get killed. Maybe I'm missing something, but I may just cut my losses and see if I can get a $30 store credit for this one.Comment

So JayBee74, It really comes of as slow as you describe to you? Could you please elaborate a bit more. I like hearing both sides of a games impressions before I get it.
I had gotten so pumped from all these posts that I went out to get it a week ago, but it was sold out. I have the cash, and the game is in stock now, but for some reason I am holding back a bit now on this one.
I think Halo II's quick paced game may be more suited to me, not sure though, I'd like to do some missions side by side with my son as well.
Man this is going to be a tough choice.Comment

Re: Ghost Recon 2 Impressions
GR2 is a more realistic game. You have to play as if you really were that soilder on the battlefield. You dont just run and gun. Think about a US soilder in Falluja. You think they're just running in circles and firing at will? You think they're jumping up and down, and shooting at a frantic pace?
If you dont like realism and strategy going after your enemies then dont buy it. If you love more sci-fi shoot em run shoot grenade shoot then keep Halo. They are 2 different games.Comment

I was in the USMC, my mos was a 2531 (Field Radio Operator) I trained for it in 29 palms CA.
I served in Desert Storm the first time around, my unit was 1st Ang. I lived it and experienced it.
Try not so sound so condecending when adressing someone, especially is that someone has "been there" and "done that".
Sorry if I sound a little harsh, I just didnt like that Falluja comment. I need more gamer type comparisons is all.
Thank You.Comment

Re: Ghost Recon 2 Impressions
I think he was just saying that GR2 is more closely related to a real military situation where you can't just run around jumping and shooting, etc. like you do in Halo. I don't think he was being condescending to anyone. Just his opinion about the differences in the two games. I agree completely. Halo is just a run and gun game where GR2 is more methodical. A gamer can't go wrong with either one or both.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095

I was just trying to show you in an illustration why one would consider GR a slow game. Halo a paced shooter, and GR is a very methodical, more realistic approach type game. I love both games but they are opposite in approach.
Sorry if you thought I meant something else man. I know you dont know me well but I'm an avid supporter of our troops here and period. BTW thanks for your serviceYou gotta tell me some stories one of these days... seriously
