I was in the USMC, my mos was a 2531 (Field Radio Operator) I trained for it in 29 palms CA.

I served in Desert Storm the first time around, my unit was 1st Ang. I lived it and experienced it.

Try not so sound so condecending when adressing someone, especially is that someone has "been there" and "done that".

Sorry if I sound a little harsh, I just didnt like that Falluja comment. I need more gamer type comparisons is all. Thank You.
Hey boltman, I wasnt being condescending bro. I wasnt even being 'not calm"

I was just trying to show you in an illustration why one would consider GR a slow game. Halo a paced shooter, and GR is a very methodical, more realistic approach type game. I love both games but they are opposite in approach.

Sorry if you thought I meant something else man. I know you dont know me well but I'm an avid supporter of our troops here and period. BTW thanks for your service You gotta tell me some stories one of these days... seriously

So JayBee74, It really comes of as slow as you describe to you? Could you please elaborate a bit more. I like hearing both sides of a games impressions before I get it.

I had gotten so pumped from all these posts that I went out to get it a week ago, but it was sold out. I have the cash, and the game is in stock now, but for some reason I am holding back a bit now on this one.

I think Halo II's quick paced game may be more suited to me, not sure though, I'd like to do some missions side by side with my son as well.

Man this is going to be a tough choice.
When I say slow I'm talking about the pace of the game, general movement, and the changing of your weapon. There's just a little too much waiting for me, during the match and in no respawn games after I am killed. I got pumped from these posts too, and they were actually accurate, you just really have to play the game to see if it suits you. Halo 2 is the shooter for me right now. I'll take my loss and put it toward GoldenEye when it comes out.

          Re: Ghost Recon 2 Impressions

I've only played a few games (after going through the training) and while I liked it, it is much slower. I wonder if I would feel this way if I hadn't played Halo first but I'm not sure GR2 is the game for me. As others have mentioned, respawns take too long (wish they gave you a countdown like Halo), the game moves at a much slower pace and it's the complete opposite type of game of Halo.

I think the graphics are great...I really like the voice commands to give to troops when playing missions....I think the sniper rifles are great and the maps and attention to detail can really be seen.

I ended up buying it (20% coupon got it to $44 with tax and I had $42 gift card..so it only cost me $2) so I may sell it since I wouldn't lose anything on it but I haven't decided yet. I don't think I've given it a fair chance since Halo seems to be the majority of my focus. I'm going to try playing a few more times and see what I think.

My bad as well, I hear anything related to that, and my head just clicks. Thanks for the post back.

              Props to you.
