For an AMD CPU, yeah that is pretty normal, they run hot. Hope you have an AIO water cooler on the way with at least a 280mm radiator, 360mm would be better if your case can fit it.

Re: Starfield
As a huge sci fi fan , im loving this game.
It's great to finally have a space game that shows the differences in gravity and atmosphere. I hated in No Man's Sky and Outer Worlds that the gravity is the same on every planet.
The gravity differences really add another element of fun to combat too. I boarded a space station and it had zero gravity. We were floating around while fighting and it was awesome.Comment

Re: Starfield
Yeah so maxed out with my 4090 getting around the low 70sfps. The only gripe I have is that you can't take your entire your crew with you on missions. Only 1 can follow you at a time. Other than that, game is extremely fun, especially outpost building.Comment

Not sure if this is new or not, but mods are now available...

Re: Starfield
I love the fact there is a day and night cycle and varied weather. One planet was a frozen wasteland, another it was raining, another it was very windy, another it was just an arid overly hot place.Comment

Re: Starfield
I'm leery of water coolers leaking. I got the Noctua nh-d15 and it's working wonders. Idle temps are now high 30s/low 40s. Most games I tested cpu temps didn't go above 70. Starfield maxed at 75 degrees. Some odd reason Madden 24 still made go high 80s.Comment

Re: Starfield
I've been having a blast playing on my Series X. My only 2 gripes in the 8 hours I have played is the constant loading screens. They have been super fast just happen to often. The other is trying to connect to a space port its to finicky with a controller. The quests have been fun i haven't explored a ton of planets yet.MLB: Chicago Cubs
NFL: San Diego Chargers
NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
NBA: Chicago Bulls
NCAA: Iowa HawkeyesComment

Re: Starfield
You have to fly slow when approaching a space port. Explored quite a bit last night. A lot of these planets are level 50. Turned right back around, not trying to get in a fight with any level 50 people, I'm only level 12. I love the randomness there is in this game when you approach planets and other ships. People be asking for help or dropping tips of loot in an area. Last night I came across a runaway ship with a trainee pilot. Had to shoot his engines to get him to stop flying out of control. Boarded the ship and his trainer was severely injured.
To me this game is everything I thought Mass Effect Andromeda was going to be. I love how all the planets and different stores all their own personalities. Some are rude as hell, some are overly friendly. Came across this one store and the store owner was some Nigerian sounding guy.Comment

Re: Starfield
I’m so impressed by how well Starfield runs on the Xbox Series X.
I was actually really worried regarding 30fps.
I played the definitive edition of Dishonored this year, which despite being an 11 year old game it’s 60fps boosted and buttery smooth. I tried playing Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider, which are not fps boosted, and they both felt so laggy, janky and terrible to the point I could not play either.
But Starfield has ran nearly flawlessly asides from two crashes through over 30 hours of playing.
Absolutely in love with this game. I keep waiting for the honeymoon period to end. I’ve only done one part of the main quest and that’s where you first get to the lodge LMAO.Comment

I’m surprised in a good way that so many people are really enjoying the game.NFL - Las Vegas Raiders
