Ran through the first mission and had to get some sleep before I dove into the rest. The beginning is pretty awesome IMO.

I haven't played a Far Cry since FC2. The opening gave me somewhat of a BioShock Infinite vibe. Come to find out, it's the same writer. I'm down for some dark, trippy, and incoherent stuff.

Gunplay is satisfying, the world is beautiful, and it runs well on PC. High preset and never dips below 60fps on my rig. Enemy patrols seem to respawn pretty fast. Not quite like FC2, but still fast enough to possibly be an annoyance. That's about all I got after two hours.

I was torn on which system to get this game on, both the Pro and X say it's in 4k and I got the 20% off code for the Pro so I guess I'm going with that one. Grabbing it after work today.

The overwhelming majority of the sites are giving the game really high marks. It's okay, not every site has to give a game that they think has a poor story a high grade. As a story first person, I'm glad that some of the reviewers are looking out me and people of my ilk.

It's rather unfortunate to hear. Even if the story hasn't been the best narrative of the genre FC3 was truly compelling and, if nothing else, FC4 had an interesting main character as he accepted (or rejected) his ancestry. To read that the playable character is basically a mute, bystander with an arsenal is an unfortunate development.

Far Cry 5

I’m kinda torn on how to get the game. I know it’s going to be on PS4.

I got the 20% off PSN code. But, I also have $35 worth of certificates from GameStop. I could buy 3 $10 PSN cards and essentially get the digital version for $17. And going digital means it’ll be ready to play before I get home from work.

But, I don’t want to go digital so that I have the chance to at least get something back when/if I trade the game in. With my certificates, I could get the physical version for around $26.

I mostly play sports games but am intrigued by this game. The non sports games I have played are the elite sniper series, mafia 3 and some GTA. With that being said would I like this game?

Well, had to go physical since GameStop wouldn’t let me use reward certificates to buy PSN cards. Still only paid 26 bucks for it.

Far Cry Nuketown......yes please. There's another created map called coastal that entirely uses assissins Creed Black flag assets and feels like you are in a pirate town. Couple of issues with the multiolayer for me so far is sometimes friend or for indicators aren't on other players so you don't know if they are going to shoot you in the face. The hit detection feels like it needs a little work, but it also may be my user skill and aim lol.IMG_20180327_104918.jpg
