I don't think anyone likes respawns that happen to fast and in my case I don't really like it at all. In FC4 you had your guys 'take-over' an area so you'd never get shot at again from that location unless you lost it. The maps are so huge and so much to explore, there is no reason to have enemies spawning in the same spot over and over.
It's really only on the roads so you can sidestep it mostly by avoiding them. I would be surprised if they don't have it fixed within 1 or 2 weeks though. Based on the feedback I've seen on Reddit, it's gotta be their #1 priority.

Oh yeah, although not quite as vocally as the respawn thing.

That's probably a bigger effort than the respawn bug thing since they would have to build new assets (I assume) and add them to the game as opposed to tweaking some bits of code that are already written. Fingers-crossed they don't try to release additional weapons as a DLC micro-trans kind of thing (they haven't given any indication that they would, that's just my own speculation).

You kill a guy on a road, walk 50 meters away and they are already back there alive and shooting you when you go back to the place.

That's what is happening with me.

I noticed early on that I couldn’t hunt or fish without being stumbled upon by a baddie, after knocking out some outposts recently, it feels like the number of enemies has decreased in that area.

Hopefully that’s all you have to do and I’m not just imagining it.

That and just about every place on the road is like a beacon for enemies. You engage in a fight with 4 or 5 enemies and while in the fight, 3 more truckloads come around lol. They just need to tone it down a little bit IMO

Enemy respawns haven't been an annoyance like I thought they might be, but I've also been avoiding the roads for the most part. Wildlife isn't supper aggro, so it pretty easy to get around without much hassle and it make sense you wouldn't be on the roads anyway.

Still could use some tuning, but I do think deterring you from using the roads and the way you learn about new locations from civilians out in the world makes discovery feel a bit more organic. It might not be perfect, but it's a clear design choice. And apparently once you clear a region, enemy roadblocks and patrols are minimal there.

I have noticed they aren't either, but.....................I was talking to an NPC out in the woods, cant remember who, anyway while I was in conversation with them a cougar comes out of nowhere and attacks and kills them. At first I was startled, but then that was followed by 10 minutes of straight laughing lol.

I've put in about 8 total hours now. I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface of the game. I only have maybe 1/2 or less of Holland Valley even explored. I'm like 3% finished with the game overall at level 3 in Holland Valley. Looks like I'll be playing this all the way until Far Cry 3's release in the summer!

Also on a side note, the menu music is awesome. I could listen to this song for hours!

                          Re: Far Cry 5

It's not much safer on the roads anyway. A cougar jumped at me while I was searching through a home. Cougars don't care about man-made structures.

I'm disappointed that the game doesn't carry the mood from the opening sequence. But I'm reserving complete judgement till I see what happens as you get deeper into the title.

It feels very Far Cry-ish. Which should be obvious. But if you're not a fan of Far Cry, you likely won't be a fan of FC5.

I'm still wavering. The setting is what sold me and though it's not exactly as it looked in the commercials and trailers, I know I'm early early in the game.

Also, I'm going to take a different approach from my first two hours. I tried playing this with stealth for those extra points. But as I think back on my game time with this, I realize that Far Cry is essentially a more immersive arcade shoot-em-up. I need to just go in guns blazing and have fun.

So I'm going to take advantage of what the game is supposed to be.

Not really except for the open environment and liberating areas.

Gameplay feels very different but they are both great in their own way.
